Young Words From An Old Heart - 3. Chapter 3: Almost

Almost

Almost there
From the beginning
Almost beautiful
But so shy
Almost brilliant
But so dull
Almost gifted
But so insecure
And the hard part
Almost straight
But then there is
Almost you
Almost mine
I want to talk
To reach out
To take your hand
And hold on
For the longest time
Just to look at it
And feel your form
To look
And read your life
To meet eye to eye
And find
Almost there
Almost lust
Almost hurt
Almost loss
Almost ready
To love
Again

Almost
