Above the Queer Clouds - 10. Unkissed

The boy was giving love
always not when needed.
Hurting, though also always
happy to put a smile on a
shadowed, hiding heart,
he gave his all – himself
in return for emptiness of
words, taken neatly from a shelf.

Dimming all his beams,
seeking of him only pleasure,
his loved ones were untrue
to his tender, calming virtue.

Mattered non a bit,
the boy was strong in will;
his tears – dried deep beneath
the river’s heartless bottom;
his hands did learn resist
to clutch airless dreams,
hopelessly and falsely scattered;
his chest forgot to throb,
even slightest when glazes gathered;
his voice did stop beckoning
with careless whispers for another.

A hundred times unkissed,
a hundred times made love to,
a hundred times reminded to exist,
a hundred times and still so few…

for the boy to truly find
a gentle soul to love him too.

the boy should have turned around and kiss them himself - i bet out of those hundred, ninety were longing for that gesture to set them free too.
