Same deal as before... this is Heavily beta so theres gonna be HUGE issues with Grammer and words and the like... I'm just publishing little snippets to gauge a possible audience
Also, this is the prequel which will appear before the actual story. So some characters will be in the story, some wont, only time (and my muse) shall tell...
Sarah looked out the window and saw the grey clouds in the sky. Gods she hated the clouds because they could only bring about the one thing in the whole world that she detested the most, rain. She hated rain only because when it rained, it stunk. Everything stunk. She walked away from the window and went to her room where she turned the light on and sat at a desk which contained only two things, a laptop and a notepad. She jiggled the mouse a little, causing the computer to awaken from it's slumber and then she double clicked on a small icon in the upper right hand corner of the desktop.
A window opened and a program began to run, bits and pieces of code appearing and disappearing in various parts of the screen. Her eyes darted from each code segment and until they rested on a certain chain that made sense, at least to her. She clicked on it and a small prompt opened up, asking for verification. She tapped the side of the computer and a little compartment opened up. She placed her thumb on it and winced slightly as the compartment pricked her finger, drawing a blood sample from her. An hour glass popped up on the screen as it processed her DNA and other stuff that she had no clue about. Some geek in the NSA probably knew what it did, but she could care less. Once a green check mark appeared, she watched the program transform from a black screen with code snippets melt away, only to be replaced by a program containing contacts on one side, secure mail on another side and the CIA's emblem in the background. She clicked a contact and waited as a videoconference window popped up, showing her on one side and the CIA logo on the other. Moment later she was greeted by a dark figure.
"Report." The figure commanded.
"My contact is late for delivery." She said simply and with a slight shrug of her shoulders.
"Was the contact compromised?" The figure asked with no hint of emotion in it's voice.
"I'm not sure, but I can asume yes. He's never been late before." She said "Should I keep with the ops plan?"
"Confirmed." The figure said "Watch your back Agent." The figure added quietly before the connection was cut.
"Great." Sarah said as she got up from the desk. She looked around the room and took a quick inventory of what was there.
She quickly grabbed her laptop and stuffed it into an oversized backpack. She walked out and into the kitchen where she opened the oven and blew out the pilot lights. She then walked around and made sure all the windows were closed before walking back to the oven and shimmying her backpack off her back. She opened the outside zipper compartment, taking out a small bag and put the small bag on the oven while she put the backpack back on. She took a small lump of clay out of the bag and then reached into the bag again this time taking out a small timer with two metal points at the bottom of it. She set it on the clay and pressed a button on the top, which activated the clock and displayed in green letters, 15:00.
She pressed the button again which began the countdown, and she walked away, out the apartment door and down the steps. She casually walked out the apartment building and down the street. As she walked she smiled to herself as a memory of something her mom always said came to mind "You always have to go out with a bang dontcha?" She continued to walk down the street casually when she noticed three figures running, one in a grey hoodie and two in black suits. She paused for a fraction of a second and shrugged it off. She started walking again until she came to the corner where she stood waiting for a cab to pass by. She stood there for a few minutes until she heard what sounded like a bag being popped. She stiffened a little because she knew that sound, any agent knew that sound. A silencer. She glanced at her watch and frowned, thirteen minutes until her big bang. She waited there and let a cab pass by and casually turned her head back to the alleyway where she saw the three people run down before. She saw the two guys in suits walk back out of the alleyway and turned down the street, opposite of her direction. She waited until they walked out of view and she turned to the alleyway.
Yea, this was a bit longer, but I think it's a bit more enticing.
Lemme know what ya think!
