NickolasJames8 807 Posted January 19, 2006 I can't even remember the last time we went to Blockbuster.....we go to Movie Gallery because I can buy Ice Cream when we go there I guess i should sit down and work on chapter 41 of my story but I haven't really had any time...I have way too much homework to do.....anyway, I just wanted to let you know that I really love DD....it's always been my favorite of all of your stories, and it was worth waiting almost six months between chapter 8 and chapter 9 because it's better than ever, even if Luke and Grandma Alice don't end up hooking up. Kisses Nick
rknapp 32 Posted January 19, 2006 Corporate bastards. Bank of America tried to pull that crap with me. I pulled all of my money from my savings account with them to go to another bank for school purposes and closed my account with BoA. Well, months later I get this letter telling me that several months of service charges have accrued in that account, totaling $10.81, and that if I didn't put at least that amount into my bank account, then some agency would be contacted that red flags my SS# and makes it hard for me to do anything financially later in life. They the balls to THREATEN ME! For THEIR mistakes. Luckily one of the representatives at the location in town was very sweet about it and took care of it in minutes, so I didn't have to go off on anyone , although since the letter said that they could bring me to court, I was wholly prepared to bring THEM to court. See I ever return to that bank, I'm seriously considering pulling even the credit card that I have with them. But I digress. Next time you see that clerk, ask how he opens his fly... I'm curious too.
BoyNeedsTherapy 1 Posted January 19, 2006 Lol, I too was intrigued by the fly opening question, so I asked my female flatmate who has pretty long fingernails how she manages and she said you use the pads of your fingers instead of the tips...I'm not quite sure how that works, but apparently that's the way its done...wouldn't really long nails get in the way at other times too??
Gregoire 20 Posted January 20, 2006 Blockbuster majorly sucks. I pay the same $9 and some change everytime I go, no matter where I go. Whenever I use that Blockbuster card, they always fine me. Although they never treat me wrong beyond that...mostly because I know more than half of the employees from school and one is really, really nice. He usually volunteers to help me out, too bad he works at a place of evil...too bad I'm desperate for male attention and will be going back. But the $9 fine sucks, so yeah Blockbuster sucks...until I go again this weekend...but again right after that, I swear!
OTRFK 0 Posted January 20, 2006 Well Here is something for all you Blockbuster haters . I used to work there for like ever and alot of people would call in and say that they received a call saying that they did not return a movie when the customer was positive that they did. Well let me tell you all a couple things.only about 1/4 of those customers had relized they did not return the movie. the other 3/4 of the customers that called we ended up eather finding the movie on the shelf because some one skipped over it when scanning in movies, and then sometimes on rare ocation the ones that axidently do not get check in get checked out to another customer without it being checked in in the first place. Beleive me it really happens. Also I am probably the worst person with late fees there, even when I still worked there. ONce I have 98 dollars in fees I never paid them of course because that is just stupid. But I went in the other day and they were gone, probably because I complained alot. But talk to the store manager. They do alot to make the customer happy, because they dont want complaints. But honestly if you say you turned it in You most likely did and its a screw up on there part. Oh and my boss told me once when I worked there that they really cant do much about the missing movie because its your word against theres. Who knows but if you decide that you are not going to pay the fee for it. and they decide that you cant rent untillyou do all you have to do is go to another Blockbuster tell them you dont have an acct yet and open a new one there. Then you get a whole new acct card and everything. And you can use that card at any Blockbuster. Wellenoph of my ramblings. But seriously when you talk to them tomarrow tell them to check there shefs for the copy you saposavly have. They will probably find it. Hope all ends well.
rekop1 2 Posted January 20, 2006 I just came home from a bar me and my guy where suppost to go get a movie tonight but he kind of got upset cuz I was checking out somebody and honestly I don't remember who it was, So yeah blockbuster sucks right now I am way to tip[sy for this sorry dom
redone 1 Posted January 20, 2006 You should definately try Netflix or what ever its called. But yeah, I've had a few run-ins with Blockbuster myself. Won one lost one. I am currently in that kind of battle with AOL myself. Maybe that guy was a night time goth or something, or it was a dare. Who knows anymore. Live and let live right?
Guest Husky Posted January 21, 2006 Blockbuster. That place is purgatory. I used to get games there all the time for my then new Nintendo 64. Until my dad and I finally realized that the money we spent on renting the games, would have ben enough to buy about five or six good ones. As for that guy...with the nails... Honestly, I cant stand pretty boys. I like guys that are normal. Mostly like the characters in Your stories Dom. so uh... Cheer up pal! Its the weekend!
DomLuka 7,528 Posted January 21, 2006 I fixed it! I called blockbuster back last night and talked to the manager, but he just told me what the other people did, that it
Lucy Kemnitzer 0 Posted January 22, 2006 PS. Me too Lucy. No answer so far. But I go all incommunicative for months at a time myself, so I don't think it's necessarily significant that Matt hasn't answered.
