Batman Begins

Of all the times Batman has been in movie form, the first two movies in Chris Nolan's reboot top them.  Batman Begins gives the gritty, more realistic and most important of all, less campy version of Batman.  This movie hit all the right notes and was only really topped by it immediate sequel, the Dark Knight.  (And then pissed away in that god-awful mess called the Dark Knight Rises.  I swear Nolan purposely trashed that movie so that no one would ask him to make another)

Anyway, Batman Begins set the stage.  Well worth it.

I totally Agree. Batman Begins is a grown up movie. I remember being blown away by the overall mood of it, and Christian Bale was pitch perfect in my opinion. This was no goofy, chase the bad guys movie... not by a longshot.

Totally agree. DKR totally screwed the pooch. The bane was horribly unfaithful to the comics. Heath Ledger and Aaron Eckhart brought to life two of the best in Batmans Rogue Gallery.

The only issue I have with the Nolan trilogy is Christian Bale's voice while wearing the suit. I mean come on, seriously? He sounded like Brendan Fraser in Encino Man if he learned how to say "I'm Batman."

This was a great movie. A good script and like Myr said...true to the gritty and dark. CB doesn’t hurt either. I love the pompous dude. DC movies are a mixed bag. This one proves they can be done well.
