These are not palinodes, but the definition sparked a memory of my youth. I remembered a couple of songs by Leslie Gore from the 1960's I think may serve the purpose of demonstrating how far these words of the day can take our imaginations. Well at least my imagination.:gikkle:

"It's My Party" and "Judy's Turn to Cry".  The first is her love, Johnny leaves her for Judy.  The second is Johnny leaves Judy to return to her.  Leslie sang many dance songs with the word "cry" in the title. 😉

Isn't country music more or less palinodes :P

Step 1. Write an ode or song about the love of your life

Step 2. Write your country western song of how everything in your life has gone to shit a few years later!

1. I'm a lover of CW music

2. Most of them are guilty as charged.

3. Write your response to Willie Nelson.  He'd get a belly laugh.

(no pitchforks and torches are heading your way from here)
