There was a water powered combination gristmill and sawmill near here and it remained in operation until 1963.

Great Restorations is located in an old Grist Mill! 

That's a funny coincidence. I like the graphic too. Gristmills are actually fascinating places to visit, and quite impressive if the old machinery is still intact.

About an hour drive from where I grew up was an old mill located on state property where a large spring still exists.  In the early 1960s, the mill, which still had much of the original equipment, was re-activated.  It was fascinating to see the machinery work.  About a year later, the mill stopped working because it was not profitable.  The equipment was removed, and I was sad when I saw the empty spaces where it had been.

Just be careful about getting ground up in the gristmill called life.
