Pettifoggers are rarely pellucid and try to muddy the waters instead.

@Myr  I suppose this comment: No amount of written help seems to be pellucid to large numbers of a certain age group was aimed at guys like me.  I've been a pain in your side for many years now.  Sorry about that!

The reason I'm dog-tired, and my feet hurt, is pellucid: I am doing a spring-cleaning from the floorboards to the rafters. No dust particle will escape unaccosted!
