Most of the words of late offered here, I have never used and at my age, with the time I have left, probably never will. Life goes on.

I came across this, found it to be interesting and offer it for your thoughts.

The Concept of Incorrigibility on JSTOR

I hope there are many comments to come on this one, I would like to see what you all think. Then offer my two cents worth, once the dust has settled.

Never used some form of incorrigible? I find this hard to believe. But I suppose I have an unfair advantage. I've been called incorrigible more than a few times.

Thanks @sandrewn for making one of my favourite words even more interesting. I have used it in relation to people and their behaviour and some people have used it in relation to mine.

Even so I had not come across it in Philosophy. Unfortunately I don't have access to the full article at present and will need to go through a library. The concept is that a proposition is incorrigible if it cannot be corrected; that is, it is not possible that belief in it should be found to be mistaken. Robinson is arguing that all propositions and judgements are corrigible and therefore able to be corrected or found to be mistaken. The thing here is that most religions contain propositions (beliefs) that their followers regard as incorrigible (not possible of being mistaken). Is Robinson correct?

While I've used incorrigible, I've never until now used the word "corrigible". :)

This word prompted me to pause for breakfast, porridge.

Since I like my porridge savory, I put odd things in it. People typically make faces when they hear my additions. This led me to consider inporridgibility. Are there things I wouldn't put in porridge? Yes, there are. Tuna for one.

What would you dear readers never put in your porridge?

As I said once in my youth when I mixed bourbon with grape soda, it might be good.

BTW - I did drink two, but my taste buds were quite dull at the time. It did look rather pretty when it came back up.

Although I've been in the UK many times, I've never had marmite. Since it's salty, I'd likely try it in porridge. After trying it on crackers first.

Vegemite is a maybe too. I've never had it either.

My incorrigibility was greatly enhanced since I was going to get hit anyway, I decided I might as well make the most of it.

Firstly, @Paladin, you are most welcome.

I think I will hold on to my two cents worth, in the hopes of getting yet more feed back from the membership. I await and watch, till later, bye.

Well, it is over 9 hours later and I have learned an important lesson. One should always expect the unexpected, especially with regards to membership feedback(you know who you are).

1 - A new made up word, porridgibilty.

2 - Possible toppings for porridge and/or crackers:

   - Tuna

   - Chicken Liver

   - Marmite

   - and of course, Vegemite

3 - Bourbon with Grape Soda = Up Chuck

Thank you all, for your inputs, I will, you understand be holding onto my two cents worth. After all of your comments, what could I possibly add to equal what has been said.
