Yeah, it's under reasonable control. I've had it since I was 18, so over 30 years.

I see a neurologist about my Trigeminal Neuralgia.  The trigeminal nerve is a three-branch nerve (hence the tri prefix), which is on each side of your head.  The lhree branch affect different areas of the face:
ophthalmic (V1) branch affects the forehead, scalp, and front of the head, including eyes and eyelids
maxillary (V2) branch affects the upper lip, teeth, gums, cheeks, nose, land lower eyelids
madibular (V3) affects lower lip, teeth, gums,  lower jaw.  It also affects chewing, biting, and swallowing.

I'm having trouble with the trigeminal nerve on the right side of my face in the maxillary and mandibular branches.  It means I would get excrutiating electric like shocks when blowing my nose, touching my upper lip, and eating.  However, I still have occasional bouts with the problem, but now it's mostly under control using two different medications, although they gave me double-vision, so I do most things with one eye closed or using an eye patch.
