they came, he cheered, guess what?

... I'm still short :/

So I was at work on Saturday and may have witnessed one of life's oddities... This woman, at least 50, in way too short shorts, flip flops, and fake blond hair is complaining that her husband bought her some tulips from the store and that they aren't fresh. Apparently in her quest for the ultimate tulip she complained to someone in the department who allegedly told her that if she wants fresh tulips she'll probably have to go to Holland. Now, while I could see one of them potentially saying that sarcastically, totally as a joke, like how fresh can something be when you have cut it off the plant it grows on and are now buying it in a grocery store... I can't see any of them seriously saying it to her, but nevertheless, she freaks out and comes to complain to Eddie.

Poor, poor Eddie, who apparently intimidated her because she kept backing away from him, so then she ends up talking to Lisa who is all of 110 pounds and my height. Lisa offers to refund and/or to replace her tulips, wants to know who said that to her so we can fix that, although how should she know who said it to her  and then she demands that Lisa give her the district manager's phone number. They like us to handle this stuff at the store level cause it's just one less thing they have to deal with and they always end up giving the customer whatever they want anyway, so of course Lisa tried, but in the end ended up going to get the woman the number to our district office.

When she comes back with the number, the lady is yelling at Lisa that this is not what she asked for. What did she ask for?! Lisa tries to explain that this is the number we are supposed to give to customers, cause like we're really gonna give out the guy's cell phone number to some whack job lady who's pissed about $5 tulips, so the lady yells, and I quote, "I do NOT call customer service~ Not now, not EVER!" while stamping her foot like she's all of seven years old. In the end, my new boss refunded her the tulips and she left, we decided in the manager meeting today that she must have been drinking :P

So I came home Saturday night with a cold! :o I felt fine, just couldn't breathe... but who needs to do that right? Breathing is overrated... Anyway, I confirmed my plans with Steve and his sister after he offered to postpone since I was sick, but I said nah, let's go anyway. I worked a half day on Sunday for another girl who got guilted into going to the Galaxy game with her boyfriend, and then I headed home to change and wait for Steve and his sister.

So I gave him directions to my house, and you'd think after living here oh... 26 years, that I would know how to get here... but apparently not cause I gave him the wrong directions! Evidently, I live to the left of the freeway, and not the right  but they found us anyway, thanks to my daughter who was in the front yard when they drove past and yelled, "Mooooooooooom, they're here!"

So we all pile in my car cause parking where we are headed is a nightmare, especially on weekends, and somehow, Tony managed to end up with the keys I had tossed to Rich and in the driver's seat :o I figure being small, I'll volunteer to sit in back so Rich can sit up front since he's not so small, and Steve is asking me if we're gonna die?! I shrug and figure the three of us in the back are wedged in there tight enough that we'll be plenty safe. I beg Tony not to crash my car, someone, not sure who, points out that I have already done that myself so I should quit worrying.

We are discussing what to do when we get to The Block, bowling and eating, and maybe a movie, the potential schedule, but since Steve and his sister have never been there before we're discussing the options available when I bring up the Vans skate park. Tony says if Steve's sister and I will skate, he's up for it. I tell him that I won't skateboard, but that I'll cheer for him instead like.... L-O-S-E-R! :P Well, then he replied with H-A-T-E-R! and then said Rich would say S-H-O-R-T-Y! So I <_< and Steve :lmao: and then I elbowed him cause... he's supposed to be on my side right?!

Anyway, we ate, Tony made loud inappropriate comments, as usual, and then we walked over to bowl. Rich actually asked me what size shoe he wears... how does the man not know that information about himself? Anyway, we bowl, I only sorta didn't suck, and Tony grabbed my ball from behind! :o He was just mad cause he was losing even with all his special bowling moves. Then after that, we decided to miniature golf, so we all drive over there and had fun, again I didn't totally suck :P Yay me! Anyway, all in all, it was fun, and I'm mostly able to breathe again.

Rich gave his boss his letter of resignation, the one I wrote for him :P and then his boss offered him a raise and a company car, but he said nope! He is going in to his new job tonight after he gets off from the old one, to meet people and get acquainted with what's going on there. I'm making chicken noodle soup for dinner tonight and I can't wait!

FYI - Beware, the sweeties are PMS-ing

Hugs to all,

Viv

P.S. I left you a comment Chris... :P don't make me come hug you! Cause I will!
