Snow in Chicago

NaperVic

Hahaha. I left Chicago on Friday, and for the 8 days I was there, the weather was reasonable, without any snow. There were a few times where all I was wearing were shorts and a hoodie.

Now I hear from my relatives that there's about 8 inches of snow on the ground, and that a lot of flights were canceled on sunday...whew, I'm glad I got out of there unscathed.

The weather gods were smiling upon me. Maybe I should go buy some lottery tickets. B)

I think that true Chicagoans thrive on the crappy winter weather there so they have reasons to party like rock stars in the summer. I used to go up for the Blues Festival every summer. Come to think of it, I always partied so much I don't think I even heard any Blues.... What a great city!

ha ha snow thats a 4 letter bad word up here. it's gonna snow here everyday now till spring. Middle of march! Yuck! It's fine if i was into snow machining and ice fishing but i don't really care for ice fishing that much. Ice Skating i'm horrible at. Spent an hour today shovelling my driveway lol. Gotta love Canadian Winters. Come on hoodie and short weather :)

But, you know they're prepared for it when practically everyone has a snow plow on the front of their pickup; and the snow blowers, you should've seen the snow blowers. There was also an old lady shovelling her driveway; well, not old-old, but older than me. She probably thought it was good exercise.

I lived in chicago most of my life and it always seemed that every winter several people were dying of heart attacks when they shoveled snow.

Hope you get out of there okay and get somewhere warm :D

But Mattieeeeee, I want them to be able to walk. I'm not desperate enough (yet) that I'll need one who's maimed and bed-ridden so they can't escape.
