Ironic Adds

Here in California there is a proposition on the ballot to redefine mariage as a union between a man and a woman only. Naturaly there are some web adds on the subject. The crazy thing is that some form of artifical inteligence decided that this website was a good place to try gaining suport for a ban on gay mariage. Sometimes I get the feeling that our own technology is mocking us.

AI is in fact far more advanced than we realize. The computers just pretend to be stupid because they like to laugh at us. This is a perfect example. (Its also the reason that error messages seem to be meaningless. Its actually just the computer teasing you).

Actually, the religious right uses Google, much to their advantage, although it seems to be wasted money. I mean, how many of us are going to vote yes on 8?!?!

 

They paid Google to place these ads on any site with "Gay" in the page.

People have seen pro-Prop 8 ads come up on Apple-related pages, too.

 

Apple gave a sizable contribution to the anti forces.
