When you visit the Louvre in Paris, make sure to go visit the "Old Louvre". Underneath the palace, they've excavated out the foundations of the original castle. It is really incredible.

This sounds really bad, but we go to Paris at least once a year & I've never seen the Old Louvre. Noted for next time.
