Bill W Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 I'm glad to see the prognosis is favorable and wish Brian a speedy recovery.
Ashi Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 I don't know him personally, but still wish he would recover soon.
Popular Post Houdinii Posted June 9, 2012 Popular Post Posted June 9, 2012 Well, I've gotta say guys, ya'll made me feel a helluva lot more welcome than I thought I was. Thank you all so much for the messages, and let me tell ya. They help. There is nothing better than knowing that a group of perfect strangers that you know are pulling for you. Just so you guys know the full story, my appendix had burst coupled with complications with chemotherapy, and my BP dropped ridiculously low. That was coupled with a stupid doctor error, giving me a med that I'm allergic to, causing it to lower even more, and my vitals died, which was a cause for panic, as apparently happened. Given the situation, the other doctor induced a coma. I'm not by any means healthy, but I am home. Thanks for the messages, though. I read each and every, and was rather touched. I honestly didn't think I meant that much around here. 's all around, and good luck trying to get rid of me, I'm here for the long haul.... 7
Andrew Q Gordon Posted June 9, 2012 Posted June 9, 2012 Gads - I've been so busy lately I totally missed this - I feel cheated, like I didn't get a chance to be scared shitless for you. Seriously, it's great news you're on the upswing, keep it up. and if you weren't still a tad under the weather I'm smack your head for thinking you weren't so welcome. Some people just don't realize how much people appreciate them . I had to end with a smile - figured you'd need it. 1
Bleu Posted June 9, 2012 Posted June 9, 2012 Glad to get these relatively better news from you GA can prove to be a great support system. Don't be afraid to use it.
Ashi Posted June 10, 2012 Posted June 10, 2012 Hurray. What doesn't kill you make you stronger. It's the appendix..., (or maybe it's the doctor).
hh5 Posted June 10, 2012 Posted June 10, 2012 belated glad your on the road to recovery was your cancer rare? mine although benign is a pain in the butt and everywhere else...
Houdinii Posted June 10, 2012 Posted June 10, 2012 Thought it was, but squarmous is actually squmous and a little more popular apparently, lol. Either or, no good heehee
Houdinii Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 I did a bit of nostalgic reading of old posts, and almost caught a tear in my eyes. Gotta say folks, ya'll are awesome. To have perfect strangers from around the world send best wishes reaffirms that the world isn't nearly as bad as I imagine. As an update, I'm officially in remission, and got over the hard part. Now I just need to stay healthy, and I'm good But seriously, thanks for the wishes, they worked. You guys are awesome....
Bill W Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 Glad to hear that you're doing better. In some ways, everyone here feels like an outsider, since their are still so many people that are doing their best to dehumanize the LGBT community. That's why it's important that we stick together and do what we can for each other. I'm glad that you found comfort in this. 1
