Notification Delay

Not exactly an immediate issue, just wanted to bring it to attention. 

I'm experiencing a delay with certain notifications involving a few areas of the site. So far, it's just Grumpy Bear's Gods and Ancients story and the Anthology Discussion topic in the Writer's Circle (only when I'm not directly involved, such as being quoted or mentioned. Example: I got a notification for Carlos's comment from a few hours ago recently). 

Like I mentioned, it's not a concern of mine but I thought it should be addressed. I'm getting timely notifications on my own stories and posts, but when my account is not involved (aside from following a topic) it causes the delay. 

Operating on both ASUS Chromebook and Samsung Galaxy A50 on Chrome.

There was a corrupt notification in the queue that caused the queue to lock. I've reached out to the programmer for assistance on it.

In theory, we have a workaround in place until the full patch is ready.
