E K Stokes Posted November 2 Posted November 2 My question is: until my latest story got posted the procedure was like this - 1. Create story and save it - site requests first chapter 2. Paste in first chapter and save it - story and first chapter go to moderation 3. Receive message that story and chapter have been approved 4. Use publish now button to publish story and first chapter Then each new chapter goes to moderation, gets approved, receive message, and I publish the chapter. Only with my latest story it didn't happen like that. I created the story, added the first chapter, it went to moderation, next time I logged in I had the approval message, but the story and chapter were already published. I did not have the choice as to when to publish the story and first chapter. A little embarrassing because the story isn't ready. I hoped to upload several chapters, get them approved, and publish when I was ready, but it's too late, the story went live. Will the next chapter go instantly live after moderation and without my input hitting the publish now button?
Site Administrator Solution wildone Posted November 2 Site Administrator Solution Posted November 2 I'll take blame on this Cia is off for a while and a few of us are covering. With what I knew, we were waiting for your update which you appeared to have done. I approved and published. My apologies. You can unpublish if you want and add additional 'chapters' I maybe have erred with @empath's story as well. 1 1

I even picked up a few new readers with the different publish time. Thank you for all you are doing! I imagine managing the queue is a task! I appreciate all of the admins! 4 1
Jason Rimbaud Posted November 4 Posted November 4 I would like to tack on a question in the same vein as @E K Stokes. I know we can't submit more than one chapter at a time. Is it allowed to submit chapter, wait for the approval, submit another chapter, wait approval, so on and so on until the entire story is approved, and then publish everything all at once, or do we still need to publish once a day/week?

No. Publishing more than 1 chapter at once is specifically prohibited because it floods the system and blocks others from being seen. You can save as many chapters as you like into the system and choose to publish them as frequently as the system allows, about two chapters per day. 4

I do like the function of waiting to publish until after all chapters have been approved, and once a day is still pretty good posting rate. Thanks. 5
