  1. Happy birthday!!
  2. Yea I know that feeling...having a great day and boom, 1 little thing making you feel sh*tty. But forget about em and try not to let it bother you so much. Like Andy said, they sound like little bitches, there's no need to win their approval. What kinda shirt did you buy? I'm in the process of turning over my college boy closet into a more adult/professional one. On another note, keep us updated on your weight-watchers progress. I'm pretty into health and fitness and always love to hear of other people taking initiative in their health. P.S. We should host a Mike and Andy watch party
  3. 30??? Dear lord...and I thought turning 22 was bad. Next year I may have to start collecting my retirement benefits...it'll help pay for my new electronic stairs lift I'm installing already
  4. Everyone beats their kids. I do....I mean uhhh I would...yes that's right, would.
  5. It's prolly just me but I don't find much giggles in that case of irony. Also, the token gay guy on tv with the whole gay package is created specifically to entertain you, usually with a comedic gay charm that's only seen on tv. Depending on who you know in real life, you may have really funny friends but based on my own experiences, people and situations are nowhere near as funny in real life as they are on, say, sitcoms. Over the top gay guys on tv entertain me more often than not but over the top gay guys out and about always annoy the shlt out of me no matter what they look like. Hahah true. Up to age 30 or 35. After that, everyone's fat lol.
  6. ....yea that's just your family.
  7. I'd have to disagree with the 2nd part. Yes effeminate gays are hilarious but only when they fit the whole package stereotype...like Jack from Will and Grace. The strong bulky homos in your picture are just....idk, there's nothing humor inducing about that....pretty much the opposite imo.
  8. Up to 8000 euros.....nice.
  9. Like a couple of people said. You're 16. A lot is going to change in the next couple of years and you will change your mind just as much. Don't do something today that you can't take back when you are 18, 20 or 25 Like having a kid by accident, getting a DWI and think it's funny, or coming out of the closet when it's not the right time.

  12. Happy birthday Nephy! You get a complimentary lap dance
  13. Not if the Pokes beat the Okies.
  14. LSU and 'Bama.....Anyone? Somebody's gotta be heartbroken And congrats to the Pokes I suppose. It would have been nice to see K State mess things up though. On another note. We wrecked Texas Tech.
  15. You don't have to. I feel there's a pressure on gay kids to come out and it's said to be the next step forward. That's not always true. If you don't want to, feel the need to or can be inconvenienced by it...then by all means, you. dont. have. to.
  16. A panda duh

I bet you did kick ass, you aggressive go-getter you! I also bet you wore your office skirt just a bit higher than the others Oh gosh, bid proposals...don't remind me. Right after freshman year I got this gig through connections working at this firm that put me in government sales and this other guy and I would just be prepping and submitting bids....we didn't have our game, or at least I didn't cuz I don't recall getting accepted very often even tho we offered competitive pricing.
  19. ommmfgggg I'd do anything for some oreos and milk right now

I agree. And phone conversations add multiple dimensions to what written communication lack. I think it's why a lot of people sometimes prefer texting to calling because it is more impersonal and monotonous which eliminates potential awkwardness. Sometimes I do like emailing when I'd rather not speak to whoever I need to talk to, for whatever reason. But yea you do get to know a person fairly well on the phone. I did have something to write on! I had a notebook that I grabbed beforehand and wrote down whatever I thought was important, like her answers to my questions and a few names. My last internship had me dealing a lot with client & customer relations and I became great at scribbling down whatever I could when on the phone...names, #s, dates, needs, w/e....I woulda been completely incapable of doing my job without my notes....however, those scribbles pretty much only make sense to me because I'm a weirdo like you said and nothing follows any order, logic, or rationale. My supervisor never knew what to make of my notebook. I mean I knew exactly what's in them but whenever I needed to hand it off, ppl thought I was on crack. I loved that. It's a great way of keeping a written account of discreet msg you don't want others to know.

Had a phone interview with Northwestern Mutual earlier this morning. I think it went well, lasted about 40 minutes and we had a pretty good conversation going towards the end. Rustle, I kept in mind what you said that interviews should be fun. It helped calm my nerves a little when I tried to think of it more casually but keeping the professional context. They wanna bring me in for more specific talk at a later date so we can chat about details, salary and whatnot. It's a financial advisor position which I should learn a lot from and start building a clientele. I'm wondering how much opportunity for growth this position will allow... Anyways, I got Yelp, Abercrombie and Fitch, and JP Morgan (This is the one I really want) coming up next. Wish me luck
  25. This is a gray area and one that touches on some sensitivity. I don't dismiss the fact that depression can be a very scientific psychological disorder that is out of control of the sufferer but there are quite a few 'depressed' individuals who are depressed for completely different causes and reasons who show different symptoms. Now...how do you sort out the ones who really suffer from depression and those who are just bitching so to speak? On the surface, you can't. I try to give the benefit of the doubt and I encourage everyone to seek some sort of counseling to help out regardless of what is the case. Ultimately no matter if it's within the control of depressed individuals or not, I think effort counts for quite a bit. It may or may not make you any happier but the chance is there and it certainly leads to self discovery.
