Pickup toy brings up the other close relationship Granger has. I believe if Winkler were the same social class as Granger things would even be closer if that would be possible. I add my hope that Winkler and granger will be together for their whole lives.

Again I've been waiting for this new chapter. I feel bad things worked out with Kai so badly. However I think Will did the right thing by leaving when he did. For some reason I feel Will alone in this foreign land and unknown city is very dangerous. I understand Will wants to be his own person but I think he needs protection. I am hoping behind the scenes Stef or Brad have people guarding him. As I said before he is too important to lose and God knows many things could happen to him. Please keep him safe, Mark.

I have been awaiting this chapter with eagerness. It seens that this chapter is setting up what is to come. Two things strike me. First is the close and even friendly relationship with Pavel and his father. The second is the declaration of brotherhood between George and Daventry. I know George cares for Daventry but this takes that to the next step. Again you have taken us to the Russian court, drawn us in and might I add wanting more.

Well here goes it, as I predicted Will got Kiki to move into the guest house. Again Will's big heart and his logical mind dealt with the problem, I believe better than anyone could. I am proud of him, very proud. This is a improved Will. However, this chapter also brings new questions too. What is up with Kai? And maybe even more important why do I feel danger is coming to Will on his trek. Something is out there. What I do not know. One problem with youth is sometimes they think they are indistructable. I hope Will will continue being safe. He is too important to be lost. I believe this family would fall apart if that happened. Thanks for this chapter, this new book, this saga and this great character of Will.

There are times I feel the need to comment. This is one of those times. Way back in Bloodlines I left my first comment about Matt's father. Before that I read Mark's stories but never put my two cents in. There was a time, I was going to stop commenting, because of some things Tim had said about Will. Mark told me to continue to comment. Over the years, a number of people have dissed Will. Yes again Will is the subject of this comment. Those who dislike Will should remember how old he is. I wonder if they were anymore mature at his age. We first see the shy kid in Bloodlines and over the following books we see him grow, coming out of his shell. Yes he did a number of things over the top. However, who here has not made mistakes in the past growing up. He also has shown over and over again his big heart and caring spirit so many times it would take a whole book to list them all. So to those Will haters I say "judge not lest you be judged". Could any of you honestly do any better? Think about that and answer that question honestly to yourself. Mark has given us this CAP world and these wonderful characters which have given me endless joy. Honestly in this weird world we live in it is a comfort to me that things will get better. I have said my piece. This maybe the last time I comment on Mark's stories, but know I will continue to read them and enjoy them. Thanks again Mark.

As I predicted Will will get Kai and his mom to move into the guest house. Will will sell it as Kiki helping him out over looking the construction work for the compound Will is building. It is interesting that Kai's uncle both knows who Will's family is and doesn't want to tangle with them. I wonder if ABC had something to do with all this. I believe Kai and his mom will be safe from the evil forces at Will's beach house and Will will help pay all the bills and make sure they are taken care of. Again Will's big heart shows itself. Mark I love this kid. I know some people don't like him but the more you write about Will the harder it is to diss him. I feel Will handled everything with the skill of either his father or grandfathers. Isn't this the win win situation Stef talks about all the time. Thanks for this new chapter and this wonderful character, Will. I hope you are well and safe and doing good in our weird world we live in.

Neither Will nor his country had any idea about the challenges that lurked ahead. This sentence bothers me. What evil does our author have in store for Will? As I pondered this I thought how this saga has changed. The focus was first on JP, the lonely grad student, then Brad the shy unloved kid. Now it is Will, the golden heir, bright. handsome. out gay young man. Please don't kill him off!! I believe he is the future of this family. He has the combination of being smart and kind and he will not be bullied or pushed around. As was said so long ago he has a very strong WILL. I am waiting for the next chapters and for the new story to unfold. Thank you again Mark. Thank you so much!!!

As I reread this chapter, I remember wondering if this was the end of this saga. Almost all the important characters are here. With one attack, all could be killed and this story would end. Only JJ in New York and they could kill him too. The thought of losing all of them made the attacks on 9 11 pail in comparison. I know some of these characters have made their mark in life ( JP, Stef and even Brad) but people like Will, Wade and even Matt and Darius are still to do that. Everything tells me to shout don't kill them!! Again our beloved author has brought us to the edge of the cliff and backed us away from it. I want to see Will and JJ grow up and change the world. I want Wade with Matt at his side to show us what a person of honor can do. What good all of them can accomplish in this broken world. Today, election day, this nation and the world stands to see what will happen. I pray that the will of the people will be heard. Thank you again Mr. Arbour. And thank you for this awesome story!!

The day has come and the time is here. It is wonderful that George's plan has worked. I think meeting both the Tsar and his son will work well for George. Since religion is not high on the list for both Granger and Daventry, the conversion should not be a big deal. And as always our beloved author has given them a reason to stay and be present for the assassination and installation of the new tsar. The cliff which I spoke about seems now far away, and the danger is pushed in the background. It is still there however. Again Mark you have woven a masterful tale within the historical setting and brought us to the Russian court along with George and Winkler. To be honest, I have been looking forward to this chapter, awaiting this meeting with some apprehension and even a little fear. Now I can breath again. Well done Mr. Arbour Well done in deed!!

Knowing Will he will let Kai and his mom stay at the guest house. Again Will's big heart will find an answer to this problem. I wonder if Will and Kai will restore their relationship. Again only the mind of our beloved author knows. Thanks for this new book and this great chapter.

I have been waiting for the next book in the CAP saga. I doubt if I could have picked a better name. I've missed Will, a lot. As we witness Brad's wedding we see what we all know what was coming. The sad thing is that Zach will never really be happy as a straight or Bi man. Everybody knows it I think even Zach knows it. I feel the pain Will is going through. I know Will is strong but and yes there is a but. The contrast between Will and his father comes shining through. I know Will is young but like JJ he need someone he can love and share his life with. Thanks again for this new book.

I thought I d see if a new chapter was online and low and behold it was. My feeling of dread at what is to come is less than before. My comment for the last chapter was we were at the edge of a cliff. wondering if we would fall or walk away. I feel we have now moved away from the edge. From the beginning of this story, I have loved our brave hero, George Granger. He is noble, brave and smart. Either in battle and or court he moves with grace and conning which I feel he will need now more than ever. I hope once he returns home his rewards will reflect the danger he hopefully lived through. Thank you again Mark for this story, these characters, and this lesson in history. It was a time in which England could have lost but for the bravery of people like Nelson and George. All those many years ago when I found you and your story on the net the thing that drew me in was your ability to put these characters into historical settings. It is a great talent. Thank You Again Mr. Arbour.

DANGER DANGER!!! This is the moment we all have been waiting for. I hope that George's plan will work and the Tsar will let George and Daventry go home in peace. We have a little more than a month until the assassination. Even a month in a Russian prison would not be a pleasant place. Again only our beloved author knows what will happen. Again you have brought us to the edge of the cliff. Will we fall or walk away?

After reading this saga and this book over and over again, I believe this is one of my favorite chapters . How Zach handles Parnell and his buddies is masterful. Some may think that the evil Zack is at work but I disagree. Zack and Will were attacked and Zack reacted to that attack. However the way Zack did it was priceless. Everything Zack told them was true and it made Parnell and the others look like cowards, even traitors to America. As for JJ I agree with most of the others that if JJ is going to learn and grow he's going to have to do this by himself. As we know he has the inner strength to do that. Thanks again for these wonderful stories and characters.

Another step closer and only about 45 days away. It is a masterful plot like chess pieces on a board. Who can Granger trust? With Von Beckendof gone and Deventry ploting with the Russians. Hard to say if George's plan will work. If not this saga will end. I admit that my knowledge of Russian history of this time frame is a little weak. However, I do not believe George is walking into a trap. He was gotten out of difficult situations in the past so this one could be won. Only the tools are not cannon and swords but charm and tact and a very clever mind. Which George has. Again Mr. Arbour bravo for another chapter. Thank you for giving us our brave naval hero!!!

As in life, in this story there lines which express much more than just the words on the page. The last line of this chapter is such a line. “I’ve had one. One true friend who would go to bat for me.” He looked at me squarely, his eyes locked onto mine. “You.”
-
With this new chapter, Lord Granger is one step closer to St Petersburg and to danger. Being reunited with Deventry, and delivering the treasure is only part of the mission. The second part is filled with great danger and even death. We are only about 90 days from the death of the Tsar. Know that this story would end with Georges death, it gives me hope he will live and complete his mission. As the tension builds, all your readers pray for Georges safe return to England and home to his family. Again Mark you have given us a wonderful story of adventure and bravery. Thank you so much!!

Epilogue - Chapter 10-Final Chapter
rjo commented on Mark Arbour's story chapter in Epilogue - Chapter 10-Final Chapter
Who would have thought that a story which started with trouble and evil would end with joy and love. Not only did we find the black widow but Brad who was broken and hurting was healed with Jake. Both of those men flawed but together they have healed themselves and each other. You have transformed a mystery into a love story, not only for Brad and Jake, but also maybe for Will and Colin, and JJ and John. Bravo Mr. Arbour Bravo!!- 26 comments

As I have said many times before there are priceless lines in this saga and the one in which Stef tells JP that he got to know his father and liked him is such a line. Only you can make us laugh and cry in the same sentence. Bravo Mr. Arbour

When rereading this saga I sometimes skip this book which is a big mistake. We meet Aaron and Steven ( Stef's father ) and see Tonto again. Thoughts about this part of the story: I like Steven a lot. He is a good person, but in many ways he is alone. As we draw closer to war and Steven's death we feel the sadness. Unlike many of Mark's stories we know the ending. On the other hand we see Tonto. She is almost a force of nature. She is, as I've said before, one of my favorite most characters. She will stand up for what is right no mater what the cost. To see JP, Stef. Brad, and Robbie interact and understand the past gives us even more insight to them and to Steven, Aaron and Tonto. Thanks again Mark for this masterpiece.

“You're worried that you have too much of yourself revolving around Matt?” he asked, reading my mind. “How come it pisses you off when people read your mind, but you think it's OK to do that to me?” I asked, slightly perturbed. He laughed. “That's an excellent point, Wade. I apologize.” “It's OK,” I said, relenting. “I don't know if I could handle life without him,” I said, opening up to him. “I've had men in my life that I felt that way about, but when I had to move on, I found the strength to do it. You will too. But I don't think you'll have to. I think Matt's feelings are as strong as yours.” “Yeah. Easy for you to say,” I joked, sort of. “Well, for the record, if you two don't make it, if things don't work out, you will still have a place here with us,” he said. “You offering to adopt me?” I joked, using humor to deflect the feelings of gratitude I felt for what he said. “I would. I would in a heartbeat. I'd be proud to have a son like you,” he said sincerely. I felt a tear fall down my cheek, then another, while he just smiled and wiped them off my face for me. “Thanks, JP. I don't think you know how much that means to me, to know that you're there for me.” “You're wrong. I know exactly what it means to have someone like that.” He gestured toward a portrait of an older lady. “That's my aunt. We called her Tonto. You would have liked her. In her old age, she pretended to be all grumpy, but it was just an act. She was there for me when André died and I came out, when I had no one else. I know.” Again one pf my favorite moments in this saga.
-
Again another priceless moment the beginning of a relationship. One that will be tested almost to breaking but will grow and be stronger still.
-
There are moments in this saga which are priceless and Wade and Matt holding each other is one of them. Sometime the simple things are the most powerful. This is one of those moments. Thank you Mark!!
-
It is always sad to see the last chapter of a book in this saga. but this ending was priceless!! Awesome!! and even better perfect!!!

Of the many things I love about Mark's stories is the fact he brings these characters back after them being gone for a long time. Mark weaves this saga like a tapestry full if different colors and only at the end do we see the finish product.
