I know that's why I asked. Tim is not my favorite person but I am worried something happened to him.
-
I was wondering if any of you know what happened to Private Tim?

Well after rereading not only this chapter but the comments i will put in my two cents' First I believe that this intervention was created not by Will, JP Stef but by Brad. So if one is going to blame someone it is Brad. All David said was true, however as we later find out JJ has mental problems which need to be taken care of. JJ as most of the members of this family, can be very stubborn. He has pledged to get professional help and has not. He needs that help. He was molested by his coach, lost both his mother and Robbie lost his skating career, and had a break up with Alex, who had his own problems. This has nothing to do with Will, John or even Alex. JJ needs help. We also must remember JJ is only 17 and acts much younger. The goal is to get back that happy kid of old. As we later will find out, that person is there just hidden. This was the first step to get him back. Some may think it was over the top As the later chapters show, he will become that kid again.

Your a Dane, a Viking you need to come here to Mnnesota, the Land of Vikings. I am so glad you love Granger and Winkler. It is odd that most of my favorite characters names start with the letter W, Wade, Winkler and Will . History is one of the things which can differ depending on who writes it. I find that very sad. Like this new World we live in. I must thank you for your comments they add to Mark's awesome chapters.

I think in same ways Mark is more like Wade or George with less drama hopefully.

Honestly being in bed with our hero naked would be worth any trip.

For some reason I woke up at 3am, turned on the computer and found this new chapter. The joy of seeing this chapter can not be expressed in words. Honestly, I was fearful something had happened to you Mark. And I am so glad I was wrong. As for the chapter: no great drama, just a few meetings and a little news from home. Again Nelson shines bright and through the eyes of our beloved hero we can see the battle from a British viewpoint. As spring comes to the northern seas, I wonder when George will return home. Honestly, of all the journeys our hero has gone through, I find this one the most difficult. You would think traveling around the world would have been harder, but here George is without his ship. and let's face it, that is like being without an arm or leg for him. The only comfort is that he has good friends in Russia even the tsar and even more his trusted childhood friend Charles. However, I still long for George to return home. It is hard to see what will happen to him when he gets back. Will his actions be hidden or known. Again only our beloved author knows. As we end June and summer is here (it's been too hot here and much to dry until yesterday) we only can wait to see how the story unfolds. Thank you Mark for creating this saga of adventure and our awesome naval hero ( and Winkler too). And most of all thank you for being you. Bob

that moment, George Granger fell in love with the sea all over again. Sometimes there are lines which sum up the whole saga. This is one of those. The perfect words. Thank you Mr. Arbour

Who would know freeing some slaves would bring two brothers together and unite a family. There is something about George which shows us that even a warrior can be merciful. As I wish the characters of CAP were real I wish George was to. Mark how you create a story like this is beyond me. Bravo Lord Arbour

David pointed one something that the later chapter show. Both of these brothers working together could make this world better. As I have said before, this is something worthy of dedicating their lives too. And now I can say for the first time I am proud of both of them.
-
Sadly what Pickuptoy said was true. However, both of these men ( wade and Jeff ) worked to restore their relationship and because of their hard work at the end they were in a good place.

To say Matthew's death was sad does not express my true feelings. I always think what he could have done. How this world could have been better with him in it. As some of you know I live within a mile of where George Floyd died. I wonder how many will have to die before we all stand up and say NO MORE!! The intersection where George died is still closed and finally Matthew's ashes are safe at the National Cathedral. I guess the big question is What must we do to stop this senseless violence? Why can't we live together in peace and love each other? Why can't we understand that we are all humans and forget about the differences? It is my hope that we will finally do that.

One thing I have learned over many years, it all depends who writes the history. I remember my history classes in high school and college, both were told from a western European view point which did not tell the complete story. Therefore were miss leading and were not totally factual. Which I find sad. Thank you again Timothy M for reminding me of that.

I have read and reread this saga so many time I honestly don't know how many. This is one of my most favorite chapters. Matt meeting Robbie is awesome, priceless and yes sad, knowing that we will lose Robbie only a few years later. I believe it shows us what an awesome gift this story is and what great characters Mark has created here. As I have said so many times before they seem to be real to me. That is a gift from Mark to all of us.
-
I want to thank Timothy M for the link about the battle. I believe it is an important part of history, not only in Europe but also here in America, as in the War of 1812. Some consider it the first world war. What has always amazed me is how Mark weaves this story into the history of the time. It is truly Awesome!!
-
That is my hope too that George will be going home soon. Nothing would make me happier than to see George reunited with his family and Freddie.
-
I can not express how much I truly LOVE this story. Every chapter you write increases that love. I wonder how you could top a chapter and then the next one is even better. As an aside it has forced me into reading more about this war and all the different facets of the time. It is truly a story how Britain was able to survive over almost overwhelming odds. I await each chapter with interest and anticipation. Bravo Bravo Lord Arbour

A new chapter!! a priceless gift!! I think George is finding out that even with the new Tsar the Russian court is still a snake pit. Who can Granger really trust? Can he trust the new Tsar? I think so. Honestly I long for when Granger is again at sea where things are more black and white. Here things seem to be many shades of grey. It is sad that this war will go on for so many more years. Only at the end will all the forces be brought together to defeat France. Mark you have again woven a tale of adventure within the historical facts. It is impressive!! George will have to keep a very close eye on the situation, mainly Panin. It looks like George's stay in Russia will be a bit longer than I hoped. I am still awaiting that happy home coming, now since the Winter is over and spring is here. Thanks again for this excellent chapter to this awesome story.

i hope you are wrong. JP and Stef are there so not them. Could it be JJ? I hope not. I do however, think it is about the trip. Maybe they've decided to stay in Sidney longer. Only Mark knows.

All those points are very true. Connie's gay bar hopping is odd. I remember that Zach couldn't go to the bar opening in Chicago because of the same reason. As for sex with staff this is not Will's first time I remember Jeff . i am wondering what the phone call was about. Could it be something about the trip to NYC? As for Mark and his two great stories, they are and will always be my favorite stories anywhere. As I have said countless times Mark is a master storyteller. No one is better!!
-
That sir is the question, which this chapter creates. Is love more important than Connie's sport. It wasn't for Zach. Could it be for Connie. I have a feeling Connie is not into being a kept man. Will is a strong guy he needs a strong partner. Two equals. Like Brad and Jake. Like Wade and Matt. Like JP and Stef. Who is Will's soulmate? I believe it must be more than sex, more than the same background or interests. I believe it is a bonding of mind body and soul. Is that Connie? Again we will have to find out.
-
He's starting to do better with his temper. As Mark said Will is doing better with his temper. It is something we all have trouble with. As all of you know I have followed this story since the first book. My favorite characters have changed over this saga. First it was JP the lonely college student. He was called the iceman, but beneath that was a very human caring person, who made mistakes. JP always blamed himself for Jeff Hayes's death. Then there was Brad the shy boy who craved to control. For a time I was a Bradofile. However after his fights with Robbie and Will, he lost ground. Now there is Will. He is more in control now. Yes many of you remember the destroyed wardrobe and damaged cars, and running away. That was more than3 years ago. This Will has grown and learned from his mistakes. In many ways he is like us, a work in progress. Not perfect, but searching to find his place in the world. Searching for love. Searching to be truly happy. I believe a goal we all are looking for.
-
This was a very interesting chapter. Will goes out clubbing and finds Connie. Then something really odd happens, instead of reacting as the Will of a few years ago would have. This new Will thinks about what is going on and plans his moves. Then Connie tells Will those magic words I LOVE YOU!! I wonder if Will's plans will change. Against all the odds, is this what Will is searching for? There are so many barriers in front of them, but Will is a smart guy and if this love is real and strong maybe just maybe Connie could be the one. I understand Will is 17 and Connie 21 but it could happen. Maybe it is the romantic in me but I am hoping this could be true love. A love that will last the tests of time and distance.. I for one am hoping it is.

As we all hope that neither George or Charles will suffer this fate.
-
The problem with rereading these chapters is we know that our young Russian nobleman will be lost. Like so many of your characters George is searching for love and more than love a soulmate, a person to share his life with. I can't remember who said it but someone said George has so much love that he can love more than one person. That is true. Even though the time with Beckendorff was short, it was strong and deep. His loss was hard on Granger. Maybe that is a lesson for us too that true love is not without pain and loss.
