After everything all the others they are united again!!
-
Again we are at the end of a book in this saga and we are sad and happy at the same time. As we know what will happen in the next books, we know this ending is not to be. However, as we see it now all the parties are happy on Christmas Day. Trouble sadness and loss are just a few months away. However our beloved authors love for happy endings shines through. Again well done Mark!!

The thing that has endeared me to this saga and these characters is even through great sadness and loss they are able to pick up the pieces and move on even stronger and grow from them. In life as in this story sometimes the hardest lessons are the ones who help us grow the most.
-
Of all the people who died in this story I miss Tonto the most. Maybe one a the reasons I love Will so much.
-
Of course at the time, no one knew this would be the beginning of a romance. Brad and Robbie and all what was to come. One of those priceless moment it time and in this saga. Thank you Mark. The only thing which clouds this is knowing the ending years down the line and the sadmess and pain that would cause.

Who would guess that this young guy would be a very important character in the story for years to come.

Again long ago and far away, Stef was a person who only thought of himself. Not any more. This is what I love about this story, these characters grow.
-
One thing that I've always liked is Marks love for happy ending. This book was fulled with loss and sadness but also joy and new beginnings. Like life really is for all of us. Bravo Mark Bravo!!

Long ago I found Mark and his stories on the web. It began my love affair with this story and these people. I say people because they are real for me. This book ended on November 22, 1963 a day which I remember as if it was yesterday. I remember the message at school first of the shooting and then later the death. I remember the reaction of by classmates. A few years before, my father had died so I knew what death was. I knew the pain and the loss. And Mark your characters reacted as I and my mother did that day. I believe part of America died that day. We lost our trust in America that day.. Lost it forever. The world changed. It began a time of unrest and all of us questioning almost every thing. Maybe we are still doing that. Thank you again for this work.

Sometimes our beloved author is truly FVIL! Who is this person and what do they wanr?

. “Love has been good for you,” she said. “It is worth the pain, worth the risk. Never be afraid to love.” That is true for JP and us too. I love Tonto. I wish she was still around. She was one of my favorite characters in this saga.

“I have never seen this before,” Magi said, as he held out his hands in his aura pose. “What?” I asked, sounding a lot like Will. “Putting him between these two, he is like a fusion of their auras,” Magi said. “This is fascinating. It is like he is an exact blending of the two of them.” I could not have said it better.

This chapter is the reason it is called CAP. I feel the focus of the story changed over the following chapters. One of the greatest things about this story is that your characters grow, hopefully for the good. Sometimes two steps forward and one step back, but still forward. Thanks Mark.

Meeting Jeff Hayes both for JP and us is one of the most interesting things that happen in the story. I believe many of the things which happen in the future will happen because of Jeff, Isidore move to the US, the buying of Escorial and much more. It has always troubled me why Jeff and JP had to breakup and why Jeff had to die. I liked Jeff a lot. It troubled JP for many years. I one line I remember is Jeff at Christmas telling JP he would climb up his chimney. Before the drugs Jeff was playful and fun and brought that side of JP out too. It is good to see him again in happier times.
-
What I find so very interesting in this saga is how JP, Brad and Will are all different but in some ways so much the same.
-
Sometimes in life you stand at the crossroads and fate shows you the way. For JP this is such a point in his life. Going to Northwestern will change his life and everything from now on.
-
Years later when JP is talking to Will this story comes up. What I find so very interesting is even though Will talks about being Steph's grandson he also is like JP. Andre called JP iceman but beyond that is the caring person we see here in saving Peter. I think this is why I love this story and these characters. Beyond money is a caring spirit not just for family and friends but for complete strangers they meet along the way.

It has been a long time since I've read this chapter. Knowing now how things have developed it is almost unbelievable that this single gay student would became the respected head of a powerful family. Good work Mr Arbour!!

Two things impress me in this chapter. The first is George and his able crew. How they can win even against overwhelming odds. The second is George's sense of the social order. Not only in Briton but also in Russia. The removal of the Tsar, even a crazy one bothers him. Even if Tsar Paul could cause him and England a great deal of trouble. It only goes to show us who George is. Yes a person of his time and station, but also a brave and noble captain. I think it makes us love him even more.
-
As always the plot thickens as George gets still closer to the tsar. It is interesting to see how George can manage getting out of tight spots. I guess the years at sea have taught him well. Thanks for the new chapter!!

Of all the chapters Mark has written this is the saddest. The deaths of Jeff Hayes, Robbie and the others pail in comparison to this chapter. Our strong hero George is left alone with no one the comfort his to share his loss and grief. The others had people family or friends to help them. George is alone. That is so sad. My heart bleeds for him.

Only the mind of our beloved author could create this awesome tale. We see two brothers both hurting, with broken relationships, reaching out to two new people. I think JJ and John will be very good for each other. I think they will be able to heal each other and grow as friends and maybe more. I think Will and Colin will be different. I believe Will will help Colin improve Colin's relationship with Mike and his relationship with himself. For Will who has been out and proud for almost his whole life it is an unknown land, but Will's big heart and caring personally with help Colin on his way. I have said before as will say again, who could have guessed that a story about a lonely college student (JP) could evolve into this loving caring family of great awesome characters. And to top it off, they seem so real that the times I was in the bay area I thought Id run into them. Thank you Mark for this CAP world and this family we so love. Thanks again

I was thinking about our beloved steward, Winkler. Who wound know a simple act of kindness on George's part ( giving Winkler food and then a real doctor to fix his leg and taking him into his service ) could grow into the bond that has developed between them. Some of the greatest moments in this saga are the interaction between these two. From fighting off the pirates in the Med, to sending Winkler off to London, and the reunion at Park Place, you can see the love, and trust between them. Yes love! Not romantic love but love never the less. Thank you so much for this wonderful story and these two beloved characters.

I wonder if JJ and Will join forces how the world would be transformed for the better. I am starting to see the giving nature in JJ. Between the two, they could do a lot for mankind. Remember Will is a member of the foundation. Just a thought

As I said a few chapters ago, the great adventure begins. A few comments: The bond between George and Winkler is both strong and the trust is solid. I have always loved Winkler from the first moment we met him as a ships boy. I found the conversation at court odd on that the former rulers and their court are completely obilivous to the France after the revolution and that things will never return to the past. The last comment is about the plain which George and Von Beckendorf have created. I can see it working. Yes there is still danger but not as much as I thought. Again a wonderful chapter. Thank you again Mark!!
