Such a huge emotional impact in so few sentences. It's a story that stays with you well after you've read it. I swore I'd never revisit it because it's so sad, but here I am feeling it all once more. Beautifully painful. Thanks for reminding us about our foibles; to pause, be in the moment, and just listen.

I wonder if they've evaluated any changes that have happened in the museum's neighborhood, including subway lines, traffic patterns, buildings housing heavy equipment, etc. It might explain why it wasn't moving before and maintains a circular pattern. But then again, it's hard to control those pesky spirits when they get ticked off. Maybe it's trying to get a better view of some new sexy exhibit. EDIT: Well, heck. You beat me. Unfortunately in recent years, it's light, shadow, imagination and photoshop, which makes us doubt what is "naturally" occurring vs computer manipulated. I know this has been around for awhile but I think it's a good example of how architects need to analyze their work in all angles and lighting. I just wish I had noticed it when I was there. I guess my perspective and the lighting must not have been right.

Oh my. I think I read this peeking through my fingers. What a difference between Stolen Pleasures and this story. I know you showed Zai's caring side for Toby when they had "vanilla" sex at one point but after all that Zai has done to him, it still makes me think that Toby is suffering from Stockholm Syndrome. You're challenging my mental boundaries with Torturous Love. Well, done, Sasha.

What a concept of demons falling in love. And sharing a house. (Gives a new meaning to Animal House.) After awhile, Jahke found his ahhh... position in his new life rather, uhmm, shall we say, rather easy? I enjoyed your take on demon life and love.

Talk about emotional highs and lows. What a challenge you set up for these two young men to overcome showing how the road to happily ever after can be filled with a lot of potholes and for some, sink holes. (I'm want to believe they will conquer all and stay together.) I like how Maxie was willing to support Jessie yet realized he didn't have the tools to fix him. Clever idea with the hole in the wall for communicating, then with poetry and lyrics adding layers, depth to their getting to know each other. Loved grandma and her two-horned goat philosophy. A story about Guy, Paul and Nuka would be great. Maybe even a little about how Maxie became so close to them? Are you going to share the Chaime ad Alec story that you "wrote like, forever ago?" I know I'd enjoy reading them.

I wanted to make it last so it wouldn't end too soon but I couldn't stop reading and put it down. This story had it all; a good sci-fi with romance, drama, action, suspense, hot sex. The flow and plot were perfect weaving you through the story's twists and turns. Loved the characters and their intertwining lives. You made me hate the "evil" ones and love the "good" ones. I'm a sucker for people finding their perfect mate. What a great ride! I'm so looking forward to reading the 2nd installment about the crew of the Santa Claus (clever ship name) when you're done. Waiting most anxiously for that day. Thanks for sharing your talent with us.

Oh, that would be sooooo amazing to see during my birthday weekend but, alas, clouds and rain are expected. I guess there's no surprise in that since it's the Pacific NW. Here's to hoping the forecasters are wrong. It will be interesting to see if any natural disasters happen (hopefully none). Just found this: "The next super moon will not come again until August 2014. NASA expects the supermoon in 2016 to be the biggest and brightest." Something to look forward to for those of us who might not be able to see it.

Something's strange with this chapter. It starts out with "Jahke yawned like a lion..." and ends with "...held tight to the boy as he drifted asleep." Then the the next paragraph is"Jahke yawned like a lion..." and ends with "...held tight to the boy as he drifted asleep" again. This is an error, right? Not some odd time warp situation?

I'm going to miss these characters. A wonderful story and I enjoyed the Cole and Jared interaction as well as the supporting characters. Got a kick out of the two youngest siblings, Chase and Cory. I thought that the addition of an adopted son was perfect in the Epilogue. I'm also one of the ones who thought that Wilton and Shelby might get together. Great read and thank you for sharing your work with us. [side note: I read one of you replies stating that you were going to publish this. I noticed quite a few technical errors (i.e. incorrect pronouns, missing words, etc) so I hope you can get someone to help proof and edit before you publish.]

I enjoyed this sweet shifter romance story. It was interesting how you had Hoyt attracted to the bear but was creeped out by the man, and then all his confusion over falling for a bear. Well done. It would be fun to find out how Kida's life turns out.

And I agree. I really enjoy cover versions that are unique. I'm not a fan of Dolly's (not usually my genre either) but this isn't too bad a version, I especially love the banjo's. Wow. That was great. Darker and heavier (I'm not talking about the visual) feel to it. I've always like the song Jolene because of it's haunting undertones but again, not a fan of Dolly's but Mindy Smith's version I really like. Great story. I loved how you mentioned Piers Anthony right off because your story did slightly remind me of the Incarnations of Immortality series with your characters stepping in to take over the various immortal positions. I enjoyed the relationship between Nemesis and Gary with all its emotional challenges, especially having to deal with the darker side of mankind and trying to learn how to do their jobs. And the great characters that were added throughout their journey really created a deeper insight into the complexities of their task and the support they need to do them. Every one of these characters really added to your story and each would make an interesting side story on their own. I'm looking forward to reading more stories set in this world you created.

I enjoyed this story concept with its discordant personalities, transdimensional house, dragon subjugation and mystery to solve. It started out a little slow for me but it finally picked up and hooked me in. I liked the treasure hunt feel of the steps to solve the mystery. You kept me guessing. I'm glad we got some of the backgrounds stories for the characters. It brought more depth to them.

Great, story. I’m a sucker for a happy ending. I'm with everyone else - I love Jake, and I like your positive approach to his coming out as the winner with his OCD. The emotional depiction for both Paul and Jake was excellent and had me empathizing every step of the way.
