What great songs listed so far. Many I had forgotten about and discovered that I need to add them to my play list. When I first found this topic I expected to find songs form the 50's and early 60's because that was considered the Golden Oldies in my teens and 20's so the definition of anything before 1997 really makes me feel old . Yikes! If she can't take care of herself, how is she going to care for a little one? I agree with Pogda & Joann. If she's already this bad, the last trimester is going to be ugly. If you lived closer, I'd offer up my spare bed so you could hide for the duration. Or this will be good training for tolerance and patience in the face of extreme adversity. Best of luck. I'm so sorry for your loss. What a difficult thing to go through, especially the frustration of not being able to help. I hope your partner and little one help give you the solace you need. And I agree, having to being an adult all the time doesn't seem fair. My heart goes out to you.

Beautiful blog entry and so full of truth. After reading your blog, sitting here teary eyed, I tried to remember if I told my mom in words how much I cared, appreciated and loved her. Since I can't recall, I have to assume I didn't. I did everything I could to help my mom through her battle with lung cancer and I'm glad I was able to keep her at home and comfortable as her life ended. I have to believe that my actions and support conveyed just how much she meant to me. I do know that since her death, my family and friends are more consistent about ending coversations or visits with I love yous, hugs and kisses. I hope many peope take your message to heart and tell their loved ones how they matter in their lives. I also hope that your mom is doing fine now or at least on the road to recovery and you'll have many years to come to tell her how you feel...often.

I don't like to drink alone, it's a social thing for me and I very seldom have a drink any more. I've just made it a policy that if I'm driving I don't have anything, and I always seem to be the driver. Consequently, my tolerance for alcohol is VERY low and it doesn't take much to make my tongue too big for my mouth, my nose numb and my cheeks pink. In my younger years it was always rum & coke, although I've never tried the spiced rums that Yettie mentioned but it sounds very yummy. The other drink I was partial to was Smith & Kerns. I don't care for most wines but I've recently discovered Sutter Homes Moscato and really enjoy it but I haven't had it in almost 2 years. I do like a good beer every now and then with the right food - pizza, mexican food - and can be the exception to not drinking alone.

I'm with you all on the books but have to expand it to include online stories. Running neck to neck with reading is music. Right now I could listen to what's loaded in my iTunes for a 30 days straight and not have any repeats.

I wish I could express my opinion as eloquently as Rustle did - and I agreed with most everything he wrote - but anyway, here goes. This tale was excellent from the storyline and characters to the epilogue polishing it off. Loved Gibby and was surprised when he ended up with Scott. It showed us another facet of Gibby's nature. Tanner's character surprised me too. I like how he turned out. You handled Amanda's going off the deep end very well because all her actions seemed plausible, especially given the current climate of today's society. You made us feel anger, sorrow, happiness just to mention a few emotions. You weave your plot and character details so that they unfold easily throughout the story instead of throwing them at us all at once. I was sorry to see it end. Well done, KC!

I'm intrigued by this story line and have enjoyed it so far. Is it really complete? The story status says it is but it seems like there should be more to come. Am I wrong? Need more, please?

Great ghost tale. I, too, would liked to have known more about the ghost's story (hehehe). Great characters and storyline surprises.

What a horrifying and sad tale you created and, at times, it was difficult to read. It's hard to imagine someone coming out whole at the other end, but I know people do in real life. Your comment "Gabriel is stronger than he thinks but everyone gets tired and when you do it means everything to have a strong pair of arms around you and a shoulder to rest your head on" came across in your story because that's the impression I got about Gabriel & Mikey as I read it. Thanks for the happy ending.

What a great read. It felt like Bourne Identity meets Misery but with its own suspense and twists and very resilient protagonist. The abuse was alarming and chilling... the lengths people will go to get what they want **shiver** without considering self sacrifice. I thoroughly enjoyed it and couldn't read fast enough to find out how it would end.

I agree with ckprime, WOW! I loved everything about this story. The story line was great, from Parker's journey to Pike's history to the final revelations. Fantasy, mystery and reality mixed together with great characters.

Beautiful, wonderful, sweet and touching. I just loved Soulmates. Alex and Jeremy had quite a journey through heartache and separation on so many different levels. You made us hate the bad characters and love the good ones. And the story between James and Jeremy, so sad. Great job.

I loved this story and all its components - characters, story flow and concept, love, hate, magic ... ! Fantasy sci-fi is my favorite genre anyway, but that doesn't make any difference when reading this story. Its just a fun read.

I loved the story. Great characters, story and emotional ups and downs of all the characters. You kept me guessing as to how it would all come together, especially with the Mom's over-the-top reaction. I liked the twist of not a complete happy ending but an ending that most of the characters (a little worried about dad) could live with.

For someone who claims he's straight, Tristan sure fell hard for Abe. I'm glad you added "a year and a bit more later" glimpse into the future to let us know how and what they were doing. Good story!

What a sweet tale of two people finding their way to each other while each are willing to sacrifice themselves for the other yet misunderstanding each others actions and feelings. Friendship and love crossing class barriers.

Another week and another excellent chapter. Talk about thrills. Space battle, rescue, reunion , family acceptance (well, so far - there's still "mom" to meet), pieces of the mystery falling into place. Very much looking forward to the next chapter and wondering what will happen next. More of the mystery unraveled, revenge on those that captured Devin, news of Peri and maybe romance, meeting the mother-in-law, seeing a new planet? What fun.
