  1. Omar, what's a writer without readers? Of course you're welcome here. We are all here BECAUSE you're here. Kick your shoes off relax and get your fill. Lot's of great people in the forums here too. Be welcome, be happy. This is a place to do that.
  2. MAAAArrrrrRRK. Come ON man.
  3. I never read them just once. The first read is for pure enjoyment, the second analytical towards the story and the politics. And I never read a new chapter without first reading the last one, just to make sure my mind is in the groove. So listening to three chapters could take that yes. It would be close, anyways. And I have other shorts to listen to, staples if you will just to keep me occupied for the odd minutes.
  4. UHM! Mark, I leave for a two day show at 7 AM Eastern. I would LOVE to have three hours to listen to this chapter. OF COURSE I'll wait since I have no choice but it would be REALLY awesome to have a chapter to listen to so I don't cap a bad driver. Jus' sayin'.
  5. Ya, but I want it NOOOOOOW.
  6. O M G Your editing staff is so slow. I usually turn it around within a few hours. Come ON we're STARVING out here.
  7. Oh sure, try and get him to post it know just when I have to leave for a 5 hour drive to Chesapeake Bay Md. No,no,no. Mark you can't post it for 5 hours or I'll have to pull over.
  8. My dad has been dead for 42 and my mom for 12, so they can duke it out on the other side. And I'll bet her mustache is longer then your mom's
  9. Ya well my mom could beat YOUR dad's butt with one arm tied behind her back and her mustache tied in a knott! So there.
  10. Again, you are inaccurate. ONE has already granted that title to me. ME! And that's all that is important.
  11. That should be "you're". See! I appreciate the flawlessness of his work as WELL as the story. (Nose in the air) I am obviously the biggest fan. I am also almost always the first to read after posting and the first to comment.
  12. I will of COURSE! I'm his best fan.
  13. Thanks Mark! Glad to hear it. I hope all is well with you and yours. Cheers, John
  14. SLAKER! Back to your keyboard! MORE STORY less gab.
  15. Well if you'd quit slacken off so much. 0.o
  16. Hello Amanda, Be welcome. Everyone is welcomed here. It's very kick back and comfortable here. And hello and welcome to those I've missed though I try and welcome everyone, I don't always make it. Cheers all.
  17. My world has sorta fallen apart. I could sure use a chapter Mark. I really need an escape.
  18. Mark, you KNOW I love you right? But if I don't get an HMS fix here soon I just may head for the orchard with a rope. Hope all is well.
  19. Good. I just read / listened to All of hem again and just finished with what there was of Valliant. You've been missed my Lord.
  20. It was awesome. Sure keeps getting more twisted up though doesn't it. Even if he gets Chris to get his mom a chance and say she gets the job what is to keep him from leveraging it against him? Like threatening to get her fired unless . . . and his mom will be so happy he wouldn't want to ruin it for her . . . Nice Cosmie, nice.

    Chapter 27

Another awesome chapter. Now he's stuck. How does he get his mom a chance without it appearing that he is using him? And if he does and she gets the job how does he keep Chris from not leveraging it against him? Threaten to get her fired? So much says that this would be a really bad idea. So he's gonna do it right?

    Story

A great story has to exercise ALL of your emotional muscles. You certainly did that and your portrayal of the world of an Alzheimer's patient and family was unparalleled. It was certainly heart wrenchingly beautiful. But Jager lives on. Well done.

    Story

I waited until after the competition to comment. I gotta tell you that you write twists better then anybody. I love the way your mind writes and you are solidly one of my favorite authors online or off. You and Mark Arbour are right at the top of the list as far as I am concerned. And that sir is high praise as I don't think I've ever put anyone on the same line as Mark. Particularly on his HMS series. Your work is so easy to dissolve into. And when you get there you don't want to leave. You are an author that writes in such a way that when you are 4 or 5 chapters from the end of the story the dread invades the fantasy bubble because you know the end is coming and you are already wanting more. Short stories are the hardest as each word needs to add to the story. There's not much room for fleshing characters or environment and yet, you do this so completely that there is no question in the readers mind of the world or the people in it. Loved it. I hope you are never too busy with life that you can not write. Well done.

    Chapter 1

No problem. I understand completely. That is why I put the warning there. I do not read loss nor do I write it. THis just happened and I couldn't get the characters to talk to me again until I went back to the story line they had given me. I was later to find out that three people had been prescribed the story to aid them in their grieving. None of my other stories has loss. Be well.
