  1. Sure. Nothing bad will happen.
  2. Thank you, Doha. It is a pleasure having you along for the ride! I promise lots of unexpected surprises along the way. We’re not even half done.
  3. Chronos and I had a sit-down. I told him people were upset with the cryptic messaging. 💚
  4. Unexpected, but it seems so ❤️
  5. I think of the Constructs as being the blueprint for life as we know it. They too have relationships. Chronos himself has Terra, and there are others. Maybe Chronos or Edna would have to elaborate. But Constructs are utterly bound by the concept of love (and hatred, and envy, …). It is a magic, so to speak, that is beyond their control. Thank you, @drsawzall 💙
  6. I read this story as it was posted, staying on the edge of my seat after every chapter. As 2024 began, it started as my new favorite story of the year, and I’m glad I can say that it stayed true to that promise. This is a most interesting mix of police procedure and the paranormal—not a spoiler by the way, please read the genres. 😬 Every single character fulfills their arc admirably, so it all leaves you very satisfied in the end, no matter the outcome. This is excellent writing, good pacing, and will remain one of my favorite stories, I’m sure of it.
  7. 😐 I hope I can keep it all together in my head. lol
  8. Yeah, I think it’s important for the group to be together again. Haha. This is somewhat accurate, but it wasn’t on my mind when I wrote it, I promise XD
  9. Indeed. And I hope Chronos for once being less cryptic is a reprieve for some. Ha.
  10. ! You forgot Grey in the Seventh Construct 😛 And the colors are all wrong, but I guess you’ll just have to continue reading to find out. Thank you. 🤍 Yeah, some things seem close to resolution, and I think those 50 chapters could’ve been split into 2 “books” but there is a reason why I planned it this way and it will become apparent soon. (I am aware of mixing up “hare” and “rabbit”, but it’s for comedic value.)

    Epilogue

AN EPILOGUE ! I think @lawfulneutralmage wrote somewhere that chapter 20 would be the last so this was a welcome surprise. I’m 1) glad that things are going well for Jamie and 2) still miffed the superpower thing is not talked about with Mike 😛 But as I said, I accept it as this is really good writing. Leaves room open for some conflict in the sequel! Get on that! 💜
  12. Present Day. The Strawberry Mountains, Oregon. The Belcore Pack. My brother was breaking, and I was powerless to stop it. Mom took him to our house, his body limp in her arms. I wondered if dad would be waiting for us there. As we followed her, the last rays of sunlight painted the sky with streaks of stubborn defiance against the encroaching night. The old ways stubbornly clinging on, but shadows of something new stretching longer every minute. With each step, I felt the hesitant and

    The End

That would be so much fun to read in a possible sequel!

    The End

IT IS OVER! Sad. Maybe think about a sequel, @lawfulneutralmage 😄 I know you probably expect me to comment on this… YES! I think, in time, Mike will learn Jamie’s secrets and he will be ok with why he had to keep them to himself. It will be “Jamie reasons” but Mike knows Jamie and he would not be upset for him taking a long time to tell him. Once again, supernatural powers are not governed by police procedure. This is a personal thing between the couple. So we either we get a sequel, or I will write this story in my head. I’m fine with both. Thanks for a very entertaining story and a satisfying end. I will miss the characters.
  15. I’m shocked. At a loss for words. His stories brought me to GA. Rest in peace.

    Oregon in the Fall

Oh thank you. That’s amazing I’m doing a happy dance.
  17. Yeah, I don’t like him either. 💚
  18. I would agree! There was a hickup that needed fixing. :i
  19. Oh no
  20. 💚 Thank you. 💙 Danke. 🧡 Thank you. 🤍 Thank you. ❤️ Thank you. 💛 Thank you. 🍑
  21. I was pretty silent this week, lots to do. Happy Sunday everyone! Today is my 41st birthday, and I will be celebrating over brunch with a friend. I’m making mimosas.
  22. A very good chapter, more please! I really enjoyed the dialog between Jamie and Morris-Walker. 😂 😂😂 True, but I believe Morris-Walker to also just be shoehorned into the very stereotypical role of conservative. He was ok with making a public statement about LGBTQIA+ rights after all. It was this paragraph when I once again wondered how much Mwangi’s involvement is known to Morris-Walker with all the touchy touchy.
  23. 💙 😂
