And when I made the ancient language, I wanted it to sound very guttural, it has a limited alphabet, lots of consonants, uses a glottal stop, fricatives like s/sh/x. The vowels you can find in Classical Arabic. There is actually gender, and it's not binary, and singular and plural. I write everything in verb-subject-order (VSO). Therefore, it is closest to Afro-Asiatic languages, like ancient Egyptian.
