  1. Guess the group has to figure out who the BBEG really is, and if he truly holds the reins. And where is he really? Thanks a lot for your comment πŸ™‚πŸ’œ It hit at the right moment, I'm having some self-doubts over here. πŸ˜„
  2. What do you think "it" is? "It" is the knowledge of the existence of paranormal phenomena. Kind of like an intrigued Fox Mulder seeing someone in the force with abilities. Well, I'll be here!
  3. Exceptional writing! Amazing characters. I have caught up with all chapters released so far (six), and can't wait to read more.
  4. Loving this more with each chapter. I'm all for supernatural powers (funny, because that's all I write about πŸ˜‚) Sad. I'm sure Mike will know… in time? I have a feeling that Mwangi is… in on it. It's hard for me to criticize here, because it's such compelling writing, but Jamie realizing his powers and using them so well on the guy in Devon was a bit startling to me. Then again, this might have been the intended effect? I'm hooked and want to read more!
  5. AHHHHH PARANORMAL ELEMENTS START CREEPING IN, LET ME HAVE MORE! Unless they are not? From having worked in the professional post production world as a visual effects and finishing artist for almost two decades, I can say that tampering with video footage, especially in such a short period of time, is very hard. There's so much ground to cover to do it right, from retouches that rip through compression artifacts, re-compressing videos that look notably different (on a technical level) than comparable other clips from the same camera, and metadata that has to match what would be expected from the bodycam, as well as the dashcam. Therefore, to me, paranormal it is πŸ˜› I haven't read any further, as I'm commenting as I go along. Having said all that, I'm all in, let's go. Thanks for a great chapter!

    Discoveries

Kudos to your, your beta reader, and editor. What a mesmerizing read. Your character's voice are so succinct, it makes me reread passages over and over. This is extremely well polished and riveting. That is my favorite quote. As a hopeless romantic, I agree with this wholeheartedly. Love the characters. Help!
  7. Better with each chapter. Help me. I concur.

    Temptations

All your characters are just blooming with life and I'm totally in for it all. Thank you.

    A New Face

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. Your dialog flows so easily, the story is intriguing from the very start, and it is clear that you know what you're talking about. This is exquisite! Looking forward to reading more. Also, I might have a tiny uniform fetish, so the story is perfect for me. πŸ˜‚
  10. If you ask me, they have earned some sort of respite at this point. But then again, the author is mean. In all honesty, this is all still just exposition to me. πŸ˜‚ Thank you so much for your readership. 🧑

    Paranormal Deep Dive 2

    AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.
  12. I would bet we haven't seen the last of him. And… Dave… it wouldn't surprise me if the ultimate outcome was unexpected!
  13. Na, never murdered, you couldn't finish the story then. Just slightly mangled and thrown in the dog house. ....... speaking of, you keep pulling my heart strings and I'm building you a dog house. ! Woof… I guess? Ahhhh, thank you. I come back to such comments whenever I feel mediocre and useless. πŸ˜„ I struggled the most with the labyrinth to be honest. I had to read and re-read so much to gauge if it's written in a compelling way that draws you in further. Thank you for your readership. πŸ’œ

    Chapter 1

A compelling start! This is your first story? What a find! Your writing is excellent. I'm intrigued to see where the story goes.
  15. I know, show, don't tell and all, but dropping the name of the most mysterious character as of now just like that … feels a little … anticlimactic to be honest 😬 Hm. Will take a note for a possible rewrite in 2029. πŸ™‚ But seriously, this feedback is very important. Thank you. 🫣 I don't like villains that are all-knowing and all-powerful. knowing drown, there might be more to this and maybe, even Beatrice's motives might not be entirely pure. What do we really know for sure at this point? Everybody is flawed. It just takes time to see it. Dammit! I should keep my mouth shut. Then again, you think turning someone into a werewolf is a 5-minute thing with no repercussions? 🫣 Mark would be, too, right? But when Theodore can return, that also means, so could Mark, couldn't he? πŸ€” It's time for the remaining adventuring party to figure out where Theodore is and if it's the same place that Mark went to. Or Beatrice for that matter. Thank you so much for reading and commenting! 🧑
  16. I feel so called out. 🫣 😬 Thank you for your readership! πŸ’™
  17. Yes! And yes! Theodore was startled by the revelation about his sons, but why? Also… They are currently locked into an ancient labyrinth, and there's a badly hurt man in there who was just possibly turned into a werewolf. Interesting times And thank you so much for commenting! πŸ’š
  18. Yes!!! Right now no one seems to be. Thank you for being here and following along. πŸ’™ I appreciate it.
  19. Oh I hope so too 😐 Thank you for reading and commenting! πŸ’›
  20. I can't ever take 3 weeks again to post something. I was close to just scrapping the story altogether. Fear and doubt crept in! Thanks for the comments though I really had to carry over the "Dave survives" to this chapter, or people would have murdered me.
  21. I also don't want to see Theodore return to our realm of existence. Is he a dead guy, though? Let's see how deep the rabbit hole goes. Thanks for reading and commenting! πŸ’š

    Chapter 5

Took me a while to finally finish the last chapter. Very nice story, thank you. I did cry a bit, especially at the last paragraph:
  23. My life was in turmoil while rewriting and rearranging this chapter, and I felt it needed not another cliffhanger. That's why I put Dave taking a breath at the end instead of keeping it for chapter fourteen. Can't have another death hanging in the balance, it would be cruel. I hope that was lessening the sadness a bit? Thank you for reading and commenting. It means a lot. πŸ’™
  24. I just stood there, unable to move, for what felt like weeks. The aftermath of Mark’s demise left a silence as heavy as the ancient stones that surrounded us. We were still locked in place by the unseen force that had held us during the ritual, and could only stare in horror at the spot where Mark had stood. The glowing symbols on the floor dimmed to a faint pulsing light, a macabre reminder of the sacrifice that had just transpired. As the magical constraints released us, we rushed to
  25. Hey πŸ’š I'm not promising anything anymore, but I'm working on finalizing the next 3 chapters right now. πŸ™‚ I'm going through the biggest change in my work life in almost two decades. It's wild. I'm doing very good though, because the future is looking great. Thanks for checking in.
