As one aged ho-mo-sexual, I do have to wonder about the labels. The difference between straight and bi is one same sex activity? Two? Thirty six? Can you be "gay" if as a bloke you have slept with 3 females and 5 men? If you touch her breasts under her shirt but over her bra, but you touched his cock, not hard, under his boxers are you guys, straight, bi or confused. And please don't get me started on Pan (delightful god; I am sure he delivered best blow jobs ever!) Once I bought a Ford, yes a mistake, but somehow it hasn't labelled me. Why should our sexual activity label us. A little heavy for a Saturday evening ( in FNQ, Australia), but a bit of a hobby horse for me.... Wonderful to have another Granger update. Interesting how the wily diplomat Davenport needed guidance from our hero around reporting of their French excursion. Perhaps our dear Grainger has learned or perhaps perfected his diplomatic skills from experience gained juggling his assignations with the Countess, the Opera singer, Calvert and his wife as well as "flings" with the Russian emperor and some French bugger I have forgotten the name of..... Graingers achievements in this field make my efforts while at College ĺook very amateur.....

Your characters are very open and curious. They are also very self aware. It is a pity the average bloke has too many hang ups to experiment like this. That they haven't labelled either what they are doing or who they are in terms of their sexuality probably helps. Interesting read. Thanks.

I am ignoring the Jeremy Brad talk as it doesn't fit into my world view.... And speaking of world view, the Will/ Travis discussion makes me realise (as if I didn't know it) how just vanilla I am. The whole "open" relationship / friends with benefits is just not my partner or me. Monogamous for 26 years.... boring vanilla! But fascinating how some others live! Thanks

May I make a comment on what others seem to have overlooked? Our beloved Grainger's STAMINA! The Swede, the Prussian and the Countess; multiple couplings with each over what seems to be very few days - and that's just the physical! He also copes with the emotional stresses of his own lovers comings and goings as well as those of his wife. He has also fathered the heir to a Russian Count.... Just to round things out he has his wife's jealousies! The man has the constitution of an ox and the libido of a Bonabo! No wonder we love and admire him! 😍 Thanks!

He's right; it's about power and sadly that era that industry seem to attract more than its share of "sex-as-powerplay" individuals. Travis being able to talk to Will about it show the sort of relationship Mark is developing between them. Impressive writing as ever. Thanks. The discussion regarding Colleges brought back memories. I too picked an "out of character" college (Hall in 'strine...) certainly did wonders for my reputation in terms of getting laid!

I used to think that and that my " coming out" to my parents was unusual, but now at my great age, I am finding that a healthy proportion of "comings out" are not the stereotypical disaster. Of course there are horror stories, usually a consequence of a fundamentalist religion. But equally there are occasions more like the very touching scene involving Thor. As for my own coming out; my mothers response was " well, that won't fix the photocopier!" which was what we were trying to do at the time.... Great writing. Thanks for allowing us on this journey.
