If to save mankind will you give up on those you love? Will they give up on you?

Josh invited Robert to the wedding even though he knew Robert would not come. It would be too painful for both of them if he came and they both knew it. Josh only made the gesture to make sure Robert would not feel left out. He also did it to help remove his feelings of guilt. He failed miserably on both counts. Robert celebrated Josh's wedding by drinking himself into a stupor and crying. At the moment he knew the ceremony was to begin he smashed his glass against the wall. If he had

Chapter Thirteen: The Legatio and the Famulus Tired from exercise and the baths, Jason quickly fell onto his bed when he entered his room. Kristen followed after him, carrying a cot. After placing what would be his bed at the foot of Jason’s, Kristen began to undress his tired master. He first took off his sandals and placed them under the bed. Then he lifted Jason as if he were a rag doll and lifted his white shirt off before helping Jason get under the sheets. “Were you always a Fam

Joshua woke with a sudden start to find Gerick's eyes staring down at him. It was a power filled look... a hungry look. "Gerick..." Between heavy breaths Gerick answered. "His lust was your lust... his power reflected yours... His lust is now my lust... his power my own!" "Gerick?" Joshua said... feeling fear growing inside him. "I went to see Vard... to save him from his madness, to save you. You were right... Vard was on the verge of insanity but now his madness is inside me." "What can

Chapter Three: End of Exile Three years before the birth of Avery Winters Seeing her boss exit the elevator, Samantha jumped up from her desk in an attempt to intercept him before he could reach his office. “Mr. Winters…” “Yes Samantha?” Harry Winters was startled by the panic on her face. “Are you sure you’re feeling well sir… maybe you should call in sick today?” She said darting her eyes to his office door. “What’s going on Samanth

Chapter Twelve: The Famulus As soon as they arrived home, Jason ran back to the kitchen and started pouring flour into a mixing bowl. Philip, his hands on his waist, gave Jason a serious stare. “What do you think you are doing? “Making bread for the Famulus,” Jason said, not aware of Philip’s warning look. “Jason, the period of morning is over, the markets have been open for days now. The Famulus do not need you to bake their bread for them.” “But...” Jason protested weakly, his face alread

Thanks for the review. The sort of isolation Daryl is enduring is both within himself and from those who abandoned him. It'll get more complex later on as we see deeper into his past. Thanks again

Steve does seem to have his own motives... a cross between lust and hero worship.

Chapter 4 Arriving at Dr. Gavin's address Steven was surprised, after all he had heard, to find that it was a significantly large place in a very well-to-do neighborhood. The front lawn, while devoid of the colorful flowers and pruned bushes that marked the other houses, was well kept. Daryl's car, parked in the driveway, seemed out of place. Not that it was a rusty bucket of bolts. It was that it was a Honda Accord at least two models, maybe three models old, with the old boxy design. Wi

The Centurions, warriors who know no equal in all of Ares, live for the chance to fight in great battles and prove their worth through blood and slaughter. Cursed to live not one day past the age of forty, the cruelties of life have taught these perfect soldiers to live without regret or concern for tomorrow, and to live each moment with untamable passion. Of all the people in Ares, only one race has the power to leash the hearts of these pinnacle fighters and that is the gentle hand of men ca

What they finally agreed to was to take advantage of Darren's college Easter break so they could go on a long weekend trip into the mountains. Camping had been one of Darren's and Will's favorite things and it was the place where Darren had let himself express the most physical affection for his friend. So if there was anyplace where Will felt he had the best chance at seducing Darren it was up in the thin air of the rocky mountains. The snow was still melting on the ground so camping in

Thanks for recommending this after reading Unaware. It is truly a beautiful story. I deal with people like Marc on a daily basis so I know how sweet, accepting, and innocent they can be. I also know how hard it is for some families during the teenage years, sort of like the terrible 2's except with larger bodies.

Beautiful story. Brought up memories of my mother's best friend who's son has Down Syndrome. Got into a fight with one of my cousins over whether mentally disabled children could understand the concept of god... My view was they're already there.

Chapter Eleven: The Trial The power of the Legatio Senate derives from the fact that all laws are written by that esteemed body. That power is restricted, however, by the ability of the Field Marshals to pass laws by decree. Only when the three are divided among themselves can the Senate use its influence and act to bring about a resolution... An excerpt from “The Legatio’s Sword”, written by Senator Perils When Jason was finally allowed out of his cell, he was cold, wet and running a

That second week was an enjoyable time for Logan and Chris. Chris was able to learn what happened to his son after he had left his life and about his grandchildren while Logan learned about his grandfather and two uncles. When his grandsons arrived from college Chris was excited. They didn't look the same being redhead and brunet but they had the same constant cheerfulness that marked Nathan and Landon. "Hey dad! Where's grandpa," said the redheaded Sam. "Yea tell him he owes us for over twe

Chapter Ten: Bread from the Rooftops Unfortunately the city was still consumed by chaos the next day. Once the rioting had died down a period of mourning was declared, placing the entire city under curfew during which all forms of trade were forbidden. With the markets closed, it was not long before the rioting Centurions were replaced by desperate Famulus who had long depended on using their wages to purchase food on a day by day basis. The sounds of their begging fell on the deaf ears of th

They slept all morning only waking up once so Andrew could apply some ointment to Josh's freshly plowed ass. It helped some but when Josh woke up and walked to the bathroom he still had a void feeling from his stretched hole. After showering getting dressed, the three of them walked into the next room where a cold breakfast of fruit, cereal, and yogurt waited for them. It was on the drive back to the store that Robert told Josh that he had one last surprise for him. This got Josh excit

"Hand all healed?' Daryl asked Steven the third week of their daily sessions. "Yeah... looks like the cut is going to leave a scar for me to remember it by," Steven grunted between sips of his morning coffee. "Sorry to hear that." "Don't worry about me... this is your hour." "But all we seem to do is talk about me," Daryl complained. "It's called professional detachment. Surely you were taught that in med school." "E

Chapter Nine: The Rage of Revenge Jason was awakened by the feel of Philip’s warm body joining him in his bed. “Morning, your majesty.” Jason did not like being called that and looked for a way to make that clear to Philip. “Morning, C-5-7” “Hey... You promised!” “Don’t call me ‘your majesty’ then.” Jason laughed. “I see... you are in a good mood this morning.” Jason wanted to say he was always happy so long as Philip was with him, holding and comforting him, but he did not feel ready to

Play Final Fantasy, Dragon Age, Sukoden, Just got the newest Elder Scroll. Really game for any sort of RPG. lots of RTS. Use to play WOW but after the last expansion it began to get stupid (too easy). Playing RIFT which is cool. I must say I've been a bit disappointed with the recent FF. They've gotten too linear. Out of all of them Final Fantasy VI and VII were the best. Wish they would go back to those big open world formula.

Interlude: Chris was released never knowing what happened to his father. He attended the fake funerals of his father, brothers, David, and Josh always showing a scowl on his face. The attack on the house was covered up. It was explained away by calling it a major bank robbery gone wrong where the robbers had tired to hide out at Chris's and Josh's home. Chris was now a total orphan. His grandparents were all dead and except for Will and his brothers he had no family. James's law fir

Chapter Eight: Conspiracies Revealed Perils did not want to be friends with the Centurions. He wanted to enslave them. Jason had been a part of that plan, but it now was clear that he was going to have to be an unwilling partner in it. With the arrival of Jason Argot to Domus the problem facing Perils was what to do with the Eastern and Western Field Marshals. Usually the generals fought the wars while the Field Marshals ruled from Domus. The pair tended to vote as a block, making Xavier a us
