  1. I like the idea of Greg Anders. It would bond Stef to Travis and make Travis a permanent part of the ohana.

    Chapter 2

I don't think Stef gave Brad the wrong advice and I think Brad analyzed it out right, but I think Robbie sleeping with other people was inevitable, because he really wanted to. And I think there is someone specific he wants to do. I don't think it is 'just a twink in the office', but someone who is fueling Robbie's lust and maybe fanning the flame with actions and nuances. Hollywood/West Hollywood is full of shitty little twinks who'd happily break up a marriage to get a Mercedes Benz, a nice house and money to burn. If Robbie really wanted to stay faithful to Brad he'd be asking David to help him with coping mechanisms so he could stay faithful. As to business, if I was Brad I'd write down the name of every guy at Gunn I'd pissed off, Dan, Doug, Lark...... well it is a long list, and then hire an investigation firm to do a work-up on each individual.

    Chapter 1

And people wonder why I've never liked most of the Hayes boys.... We all know Robbie is making a huge mistake. Does he really think having a younger guy's dick in his ass is going to help get in touch with young people? No, I don't suppose in his core even he believes that, but he sees these hot young guys, many of whom are throwing themselves at him he wonders what he is missing. So we have Matt being an ass, Robbie being an ass, who is the next Hayes to be a disappointment?

    Chapter 25

Still talking about Vietnam in 1995? Wow JP, way to milk a topic.... Another marvelous Book Mark. I think I like these smaller books vs the 80 chapter ones. It seems you involve more narrators and involve more storylines.

    Chapter 24

Things are going too well.... someone needs a fatal disease or we need a half brother of Stef's to show up or something. I would say tsunami in Malibu, but we need too many of these characters moving forward.

    Chapter 23

I am just dying to comment on Brian, but I can't without huge spoilers.....

    Chapter 21

It is a bit of a stretch to say they "are going strong" as if they had been committed the whole time. They are more like "back together", which I can see more than solid, unwavering commitment. Commitment in my mind will always mean, "forsaking all others"'

    Chapter 22

“A Mr. Brian Parnell. Dun dun dunh! “No,” JP said.

    Chapter 21

Ah Stef is about to jump on his carousel of PAs. Nice to see Casey and Alejandro having a good time, they seem good for each other. I honestly forget how they wind up, but the odds are against a high school romance.

    Chapter 20

“When did you sleep with a woman?” Brad asked. It was interesting that they had never covered this issue before. “Couple of hours ago,” he joked. Brad didn't laugh. “In high school, before all that shit happened to me.” Hunh..... I wonder...... Naw, that could never happen. Jenny seems nice, PFLAG is such a great organization.

    Chapter 19

    I crack me up.

    Chapter 18

Bitty couldn't just show up in Malibu and blindside Brad with a custody order from Ohio. If Bitty had been the custodial parent and Brad had absconded with the children from OH, then she could have. But in this case, she would have had to notify Brad 15 days before a hearing in Ohio to decide custody. Most courts, I'd dare say any court, would look at the record of custody and she would never get custody. If she found the one idiot judge who believed the kids always belonged with a mother, she still could not just show up to collect the kids. She would have to register the out of state custody order in California and Brad could contest it in CA courts because the children are California residents. It is unlikely she'd find an idiot judge two hearings in a row. Option two is just Jeff her.

    Chapter 16

Oh Bruno, in the words of Mr. Wizard, "Drizzle, Drazzle, Druzzle, Dread, time for this one to be dead". Oh Max, in the words of Joni Mitchell, "Don't it always seem to go, That you don't know what you've got 'til it's gone".

    Chapter 15

Poor Alejandro. He comes from a completely foreign culture and in 1995 Mexico he would not have seen any loving, meaningful gay relationships, just older guys who abused young guys for their own pleasure and not their "partner". His world is very dark. I am not thrilled by Cody's approach.

    Chapter 14

So is Alejandro going to live in Palo Alto or Malibu? Or maybe go to Cate or Thatcher? Good thing Will is only 9, otherwise he'd have Alejandro bent over in two days.

    PS here is Jackie.

    Chapter 12

It is funny, it feels in Gap Year like JP and Stef have been a couple forever, but the first seven books of CAP cover 33 years, while the last nine books (excluding The Box), cover six years. More to the point, those are CAP years; in human years Bloodlines, our next CAP adventure, posted on the old GA site maybe early 2010 and took place in 1998. Gap Year is only six years later, 2004, but it is ten books and 13 years later. So yeah... it feels like Stef and John Paul have been an item longer than it has been.

    Chapter 11

Cody is of a different generation from JP and Stef, and even Brad and Robbie. He can see things in Erik that they cannot because it was a different hustle in 1995 than it was in 1980 or even 1990. Getting reacquainted with Cody in this, his first appearance in CAP, I am starting to appreciate the Cody of 2000-2002 more.

    Chapter 10

Bra, this story has too many "Zachs" and "Jakes". https://www.verywellfamily.com/top-1000-baby-boy-names-2757618

    Chapter 9

Nothing a powerful man in Hollywood ever does should shock you, especially pre-#MeToo. Why Cody in a smaller way? Cody's only known Stef a few weeks, but he picked up on Stef's distress faster than blood brother Brad did.

    Chapter 8

It pays to keep friendships and be nice to everyone, even when you don't mean it. Don't piss off powerful people.
  23. PrivateTim

    Chapter 7

Ah, Cody.... I was asking not long ago where Cody came from.... and now I know. I've never been his biggest fan, but he seems mostly harmless. Poor Stef though is really drifting and feeling very alone and not needed.

    Chapter 6

Yikes! I don't remember Erik at all. He must not stick around very long. It sounds like Stef got John Paul thinking and JP decided a life with "Benjamin" wasn't going to be much of a life at all.
