Talk about your whole world coming undone.... it's getting harder to suppress his whore-moans, he finds out he is adopted and everyday his parents reveal their intolerance.

I tried to read the new and improved Man in Motion, but I found I am not emotionally ready to deal with Neil. He is one of the biggest assholes in CAP history. But since I just finished rereading Streak, I decided to go to Cam Heely: The Beginnings (sometimes called Bloodlines). I really like Cam and I really dislike Carmine.

Chapter 50-Final Chapter
PrivateTim commented on Mark Arbour's story chapter in Chapter 50-Final Chapter
I'd be surprised if we've seen the last of Matt and Wade. There was a huge investment in the characters and the peripheral characters like Alex, Elizabeth, Mary Ellen, etc are too rich to abndon. -
Chapter 50-Final Chapter
PrivateTim commented on Mark Arbour's story chapter in Chapter 50-Final Chapter
It is sad when a story ends, but I much prefer that than the authors (who shall go unnamed due to their fanatical fans) who keep the same narrators, same characters for 900 chapters over 16 years. I have to end this second reading of Streak with a little Will hate... “And you guys believed that?” I asked, totally stunned at them. “Seriously?” I don't do games well. If you tell me you don't want to see me, don't want me to come up, I won't. You want to see me, tell me so. Part II of that is you cannot be such an unpleasant bitch to be around and be be feeling lonely when the people you were such an unpleasant bitch to don't want to be around you. Thank you Mark and team for continuing to pump out quality fiction. -
Will didn't change post 9-11 to tolerate people telling him what to do. He didn't start listening to Brad any more than he had before, as we will see in Gap Year.
-
“It’s not like you need it,” Will said to Dad. “You can always just visit and not stay over.” I think Will is a Grade AAA+ asshole. I don't think Grand would have been amused with making someone feel unwelcome at Escorial, especially Brad since it was the home he grew up in. If Brad had removed Will's bed from his room, Will would have come unglued and run to Stef and JP to whine about it and try to make Brad feel like crap, even though Will was the one who made the decision to abandon his home from birth and move full time to Palo Alto. I think JP would have pulled Will into his study for a "discussion".
-
I am not the one who went to court to get away from Brad. I believe in karma. If you don't want me to tell you what to do, don't turn around and tell me what I need to be doing you little douche Will 😋

Most likely 😄

I just realized that the original formatting of different colors for different narrators is gone. I barely remember the old website format, but I do miss the chat room function. I also missed not seeing the reception at the Savoy. Simpson's in the Strand has been my favorite restaurant in London since I was a little boy and it remains so, even if it is still closed, post Covid.

I had the right idea, but the wrong person dropped a dime first. but I could feel my world changing with this news. I knew that from this point forward, I’d probably be seeing a lot less of my father, and I’d be spending a lot less time with him. No douchebag, you did that when you transferred out of Harvard-Westlake to Menlo and you moved to Palo Alto, while he and Robbie were living in Malibu.

This book is called Streak and yet here we are 45 chapters in and we have not seen a single group of naked men run through a mall or college campus yet. I hope that is fixed in the final five chapters.
-
Having read Paternity again just before my rereading of Streak, my reaction to Will's bossiness this chapter was much stronger than when I first read it. Will has no right to make such demands of Brad and to make decisions for Brad, like where he would spend Christmas Eve regardless of his motivation or intentions. He would go postal on anyone making such plans and demands of him. He forfeited those rights when he fired his parents at age 14. Will made this bed, but he is unwilling to lay in it. I don't like that Mark is so wrapped up in Carmine, I bet his therapist wouldn't be thrilled either, but that is Brad's call to make and the person with the least right to make demands on him and force decisions is Will.

“Hazing at USC is supposed to be pretty bad, and I’m not putting up with that bullshit,” I said. No way did I want to deal with a bunch of no-talent seniors making me their bitch. You are a little bitch Zach and those no-talent seniors at USC won the National Championship in 2003 and beat UCLA 47-22.

So here is the reason I don't like Carmine. He is so completely insecure and codependent and Brad is being sucked along for the ride. If Carmine were a good partner for Brad, he would have insisted they make the trip to Boston for Jeremy's birthday. And I am sure hypocrite Hurricane Will will let Brad know how he feels, even though it is none of his business.
-
OK, a quick poll, most evil person ever: a) Ursula b) Cruella de Vil c) Mark Arbour d) The Evil Queen (which is kind of the same thing as "c") Poor Jeremy is cruising along in happy mode and his world comes crashing down with two little words 😆🤣

I would think that you'd appreciate that he was finally being honest with his parents. I'm not sure I see any benefit to them to out Zach. Spite. Bitterness. Anger. Retaliation.
-
I honestly don't remember if Zach comes out to his parents or not, but based on how Wally & Clara have been presented, I think it is a terrible idea on so many levels. How the parents who picked Mr. Peckerhead for a counselor would suddenly become reasonable and understanding stretches credulity,

I think Carmine is creepy. Even if I hadn't read the story already, I'd think he is creepy so far. If I think Brad was stupid to invite him to Australia, I think Carmine was even stupider to say yes.

He just looked at me. “I’m here because I love you.” Hey, douchebag Will, if you love someone you don't treat them the way you do as a petulant, immature asshole. he was just upset that you were bulking up on those other companies. It was like now that war was on the horizon, you were jumping in to make a killing.” Where does Will think the private jets, $250,000 cars, multiple homes all over California and the U.S. come from? If you believe a stock is going to go up, you buy it. It is the prudent, responsible thing to do. When you own stock in a company, you also have influence if the stake is large enough. It is absurd to suggest that defense contractors were lobbying for a war for no reason, just so they'd make more money. The UN Security Council unanimously passed United Nations Security Council Resolution 1441 laying out the reasons for action against Iraq. The U.S. Congress with large, bi-partisan majorities authorized action against Iraq. To pretend the war was created by defense companies is ridiculous. “No hot athletes for me,” Dad said, and smiled at Marc. “I have my date.” “And I have mine,” Marc said, smiling back at him Just gross. They've known each other less than 24 hours. We were staying at the Four Seasons in Sydney The Park Hyatt Sydney is so much nicer.

Taking Carmine to Australia is a horrible idea on so many levels, let me count the ways. 1) WAY too soon, what happened to "slow down" from his Dating Advisors 2) He was going to Australia to spend time with Matt, it would be good for both of them 3) In Australia Brad could have copious amounts of meaningless gay recreational sex with young guys, proving 40 isn't one foot in the grave, one foot on a banana peel. 4) I never did warm up to Carmine

Will was a complete asshole when he talked to Brad, but I am not sure Will has any other mode. There was no need to play a game when he called Brad, and he was playing a game. All he needed to say was, from the get go, "Cam got kicked out of his apartment so I'm letting him stay in my apartment. You might want to call and check how he is." - Brad, "I will. Thanks for letting me know." - Now you can see why I am not the top author at GA, because such a normal conversation would not get many readers. I will also say that I don't think buying stock in Halliburton is the moral equivalent of Franklin Roosevelt putting 125,000 Americans in concentration camps. As to Dick Cheney, he had a gay man as his Spokesperson when he was a Congressman and took him with him to the Pentagon when he was SecDef to be the Pentagon Spokesperson. Pete Williams resigned over Cheney's objections when a gay activist publicly outed Williams in an attempt to embarrass the Bush Administration. Williams wasn't in the closet, didn't speak personal views on gay issues and was well liked in Republican circles because he did his job professionally and well.

This chapter confirms Will's callowness, his immaturity, his hypocritical lifestyle, his complete lack of self awareness, his total lack of empathy, gratitude and his lack of knowledge.
-
It is great to see that Will has such a strong moral sense of right and wrong and that he has taken a stand against Big Oil. It does sadden me that he is quitting surfing though, because of course surfboards and wetsuits use fossil fuel based products in their manufacture. And it does seem a shame to have to give up the Ferrari, but obviously it would be a grievous wrong to keep it and not use public busses. I am also sure that in time he will get used to flying commercially, but it is essential that he refuse rides on family private jets to show his family how committed he is to his principles.

As the old saying goes, out of sight, out of mind. It isn't inconsiderate or stupid, it is just what it is. Despite Alex saying JJ isn't high maintenance, he is. I think Alex's mind took a needed "JJ break". Do we know how old Alex is? My impression is 22-23. He might be older than JJ, but he is still a "kid". Life isn't like that. "Most likely considered" is a loophole I could ride a heard of elephants through. Coupled with "out of sight, out of mind" is a mind deprived of oxygen because the vital blood carrying it has been redirected for other purposes. JJ is so besotted with his Lordship that Alex could skip groveling and apologizing and when JJ tries to guilt him into it, Alex can call his bluff with, "you are right, that was absolutely horrible I didn't call you. I don't blame you for wanting to end it with me." Alex doesn't need a pot of gold and he isn't a cad. The family is cash poor, not poor. They have millions in assets that they'd rather not have to liquify, but that is a far cry from poor. JJ has been manipulating Alex and he knows it. Is he self aware enough to ponder on it? There isn't a character in 20 years of CAP who hasn't made poor decisions because of his dick and Alex is younger than many of them when they made their poorest dick led decisions. He didn't know JJ thought they were exclusive, he thinks maybe it was implied, but never discussed. Alex tried to get with Will before he knew JJ liked him. It was Will who told Alex and Will had been flirting with Alex, just like Will does and he would have gladly bedded Alex had he not known about JJ.
