  1. Hopefully with cash in the eggs......
  2. I guess it doesn't make much sense to me, he really must be crazy because who in their right mind would want to stop everyone from getting Kit-Kats?
  3. file:///D:/PicturesD/sort/PrivateTimm.jpg
  4. Not at an MCC church and probably not at an open and affirming church. People who don't believe have used "the church" to socially or politically climb for years.
  5. Personally I've never had any problems with Nifty and nothing but helpfulness when I posted over there.
  6. What about church? If there isn't a Metropolitan Community Church near you Google Open and Affirming churches for your area. You don't need to be a Christian to go, but it can be a cool place to meet people. I don't know where you are in MI, but if it is Lansing, Detroit or Ann Arbor, I can't imagine anyone cares a bunch, especially professionally.
  7. On a cold & rainy night One Mister Miller had a rare flight Glen was up there boppin' a rhythm Then the engine stopped to listen with him http://www.youtube.c...h?v=HkgvyYuSTWA Yes indeed he did, Yes he did Parker played in Birdland Yes he really did Yes indeed he really did told the truth way down in Birdland Yes indeed he did, Yardbird Parker played in Birdland Yes indeed he really did, Charlie Parker played in Birdland
  8. Should Sea World release the video of the attack on the trainer? The family has asked them not to. Does the public have a right to see it, or is it only a prurient pursuit?
  9. I'll Be Home for Christmas. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lIq-jqm4Vdg&feature=related It became a symbolic song during WWII. I think of all the young Americans in Europe and the Pacific who heard it and never made it home for Christmas again. And God Bless America. Especially when sung by Ronan Tynan, he has become intertwined with that song and 9-11 for me.
  10. Agincourt by Bernard Cornwell. I am sure Mark Arbour would like it.
  11. So where does Mrs. Slocombe fit in the equation? That was the early 70's?
  12. Yes, the longer you write and the more you write and the better you get the more feedback you will get and some of it negative. The good news is if you are bad no one bothers to to read you so you now know you are definitely good. And there is a very militant world out there on the subject of circumcision.
  13. I like the season, but I see it heading down to a male winner again, the women just don't stack up.
  14. Locarno? Lugano? Cute, cute pics in any case.......
  15. He came out publicly and officially, he hasn't been living a tortured life in the closet, he wasn't shy about clubbling in West Hollywood 9-10 years ago. I too suspect it is at least partially about publicity for his new album.
  16. Charles Emerson Winchester III has a Boston Brahmin accent, not British. You can here his voice here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2IZaBeWgFqo He has done a lot of voice overs for Disney.
  17. To start, sorry to bring you to tears (kinda), but I also believe tears can be cathartic and if they were tears for Darryl than I am totally ok with it because I think Darryl, at least the young Darryl, is someone worth remembering and shedding a tear for once in a while. As to the other part, the judgmental set I tend to ignore them. So many young people (young being under 40 these days) have no concept of the pre-Internet world. A world where men dancing with men was illegal in L.A. County and LAPD used it as an excuse to beat up, harass and out gay men. West Hollywood's hot spots weren't the open air clubs and eateries they are now where you wave to the cars on Santa Monica Blvd., you entered in the alley and hoped no one saw you sneaking in. Anonymous sex, glory holes, etc. were an out growth of no other outlets, but so many people don't get that and judge those partake or did. I will confess to being a little judgmental about those NOT trying to get laid at every turn because that just seems so unnatural for men. I agree that men are wired for sex so I am suspicious of those who act sanctimoniously celibate, I think either they are lying or repressed. Thanks for what there was of On The Mark, but understand that I do care about Mark and what happened to him, to Van, with Matt, etc. It was very cathartic for me as Mark and I were very very similar in our experiences {except for the bad grades and JC thing }.
  18. Own worst nightmares? Obviously you haven't read On The Mark. This fictional character named Mark gets laid like a champ with some very cool, very hot guys. No it wasn't all skittles and beer, but Mark had a pretty nice time in high school other than f**king up his grades. On a serious note, it was bad to hear about Darryl because I liked him for what he did for Mark and he certainly didn't deserve what he got from his encounter with Derrick.
  19. Is Mark going to finish On The Mark?? I want to know if he ever saw Darryl again? What happened to Van? Did he finish Junior College? What about Derrick? Or even Aaron? Or Matt? I mean it seems unfinished because it just ends after a random encounter in the JC.
  20. Yeah, I Googled On the Mark, but the 1,234,578 responses I got scared me, I figured someone maybe had read or remembered it. I don't quite get the how to search Nifty only function in Google, but I'll try it on another story. I am thinking this story was more truth than fiction, but I won't press Mr. Arbour on the point. It also feels very unfinished.... I'd love to know did he get out of the JC, did he ever See Darryl or Derrick again, what happened to Van........
  21. I've been reading this story called "On the Mark" about a kid named Mark and his coming of age in the mid 70's to early 80's. The problem is, I have no idea where I found the story. I usually download into Word files so I can take the stories with me to read if I am someplace I can't get connectivity and sometimes I just don't like the online font or whatever. The question is, does anyone know this story or know where it is hosted?
  22. I vote we make Dom treat it like Star Wars where the first movie was like Chapter 4 or something like that, because I want a prequel to know why Luke left AZ. what he is doing in AZ, etc.
  23. A link to The Ordinary Us? If you go to Authors up top, click on that, you can scroll down to Dom Luka's Official Site and The Ordinary Us is there along with Dessert Dropping and the very excellent, but way too short Hello Stupid that ties together the two stories.
  24. Reading is in the ear of the beholder I guess. My first reply to him was in an antagonistic tone on purpose as I pointed out, the second was not. Did you choose to an hear antagonistic tone? Perhaps, maybe you hear an antagonistic tone in this? There isn't one. And while he did apologize for the assumption that I didn't know or work with teens, I found his opening remark to have an antagonistic tone. Was I just predisposed to hear it? Again, perhaps. I do know teens who make or have made the wrong choices again and again, but most of them are in the juvenile justice system. I can relate to both Quinn's and Rory's situation because I have lived one of them and as we all tend to base our opinions on our life experiences, that is where my evaluation comes from. I think it was the assumption that my experience didn't exist, or if it did exist, wasn't a valid way of making a judgment that got my goat more than anything. But I am better now.
  25. Why isn't Cole Parker at GA? Is there some kind of rivalry between GA & AD? All of Cole's stories are great, Duck, Duck Goose, English 10, 8th Grade, Josh Evolving, Middle School... he is absolutely great.
