Pokemon? Gone From Daylight? AHA!
jalaki replied to GofG's topic in Comicality's Shack Clubhouse's Cafe
Your wish, oh captain my captain, is my command. Well, not quite. Best I could find are a 2v2 (with what could pass for lightning effects!), a 1v1 with the command options, and a 2v2 with command options. Still, should be able to edit one or a combo of them to where they'd work, right? Oh, just a found a 2v2 with the special attacks open. Maybe some combination of these will get you what you need Here's what I got: 2v2 with attacks 2v2 with menu 2v2 "in action" 1v1 Good luck, hope that helps -

Well, Justin wasn't the only one fighting the Raiders that night. And any you made wouldn't exactly have to be of a fight that actually took place in the series But even just doing Justin against some others would be cool - don't have to always use the same powers though. Remember, as a Mimic, his list of abilities is constantly growing. I mean, against the Raiders, did he even have Cato's ability yet? Can't remembe.r...but I don't think he had the 'transfer' extra at that point. *nitpicks* Hehe. But you get my drift - depending on when the fight takes place he might have an entirely different list -
Hehe, I can't seem to make up my mind on Paranoia Agent. Sometimes I rather like it, sometimes I just have to sit back and go "dubya tee eff mate?" So I dunno, haha. Never seen either of the other two you mentioned *shrug* Personally I always liked Trigun, haha. <3 Vash And omg, Wolfwood Fullmetal Alchemist rocks my socks too, as did Wolf's Rain. I have Gravitation around here somewhere, keep meaning to watch it and keep forgetting *mutter* A friend also gave me the Final Fantasy anime once *rofl* and I think I watched one episode, have to check out the rest sometime. I can barely remember anything about it so I don't know if I liked it or not *snicker*

Question number one is pretty straightforward to answer. If there are people willing to accept and take the risks involved in marching, then let them. This, of course, ignores the police issue, or rather assumes there are enough to cover what is needed. But I think most people marching in a pride parade anywhere are going to realize there are whackjobs out there no matter where you are, so *shrug* As for the second one...that city is a holy place for the gay people in those religions, too, isn't it? Screw those that are going to discriminate against their fellow man. They show their hypocrisy every day. How did that one go? Luke 6:41, unless I mistake myself: "Remove the wooden beam from your eye first, then you will see clearly to remove the splinter from your brother's eye." Or to put it another way, "Let he who is without sin throw the first stone." You're basically asking if they should be allowed to do it because it's "a sin" - well I guaran-damn-tee you that every single other person in that city, to a man, is a sinner too. And personally, I would love to see pride parades held in Vatican City and Meccha too. People need to wake the heck up (or perhaps be woke the heck up) and get with the program, not be allowed to wallow in their ignorance and self-righteousness endlessly. The whole "it's a sin" thing is basically all BS anyway. From incorrect translations, purposefully changed translations, or *gasp* original writers writing what they want because hey guess what, it wasn't God holding the pen it's pretty much impossible to actually use the bible, the torah, the koran, or any other religious text as a justification for pretty much anything....except maybe as an example of why things shouldn't automatically be taken as proof for something else And even if there was some kernel of truth buried deep down in there - times change, and so do the natures of things. Things that were great sins ages ago are now considered perfectly clean and acceptable, and guess what? There's nothing inherent to homosexuality that says the perception of it must remain immuteable, despite what fundamentalists, zealouts, and other less-offensive religious followers might try to get you to believe. So basically, to sum all that up: Question #2? Hell yeah they should.

I think I have to agree with this statement.
-
I voted 'others' for similar reasons to those stated above - it's never just one of those choices, and often the exact reason depends on the story itself.

Yeah, was gonna say, I don't see that. I notice a bimillenial goat *shrug* But that's not the point. The point is Kitty....to whom I give a big ol CONGRATULATIONS!. An inspiration to us all!

Well, the first thing I thought of when I saw this was good ol' Betty Bowers. Go read the BASH (Baptists Are Saving Homosexuals) section - specicially "The Homo Agenda." The rest of it is great too, such as "I Left My Boyfriend For Jesus" in the Testimonials section. All of that site is just pure class though

I would be remiss in not adding my own thanks here, so.. THANKS, MYR! Definitely an awesome site and awesome community you've built here. Words can't express it so I'm not gonna try. All I do is add another "thanks!"

My path to GA started way, way back around late 1999 or early 2000, when I first found Comicality's Shack Out Back. This was, of course, well before he was hosted here....but when he moved through a few other places and then finally settled here, I followed and thus, found the rest of GA as well. Of course, I didn't actually really check out GA then...I saw it a bit, but paid little attention. Then came back for something (I forget what, haha) and registered on these her forums...and promptly left again Then a few months back someone was telling me some stuff about the place and the third time was the charm - now you can't get rid of me

Kitty, you ro><0r my so><0r! (I apologize profusely for the "leetspeak" but it was necessary ) For all that you do, from the anthology to the board management to the advice you give members....Thanks!

We don't. Sex stops with marriage, y'know? Or at least that's what a lot of married couples would have us believe, haha.

That is most definitely a touching video. Poor kid, awwww. Heh. Thanks for sharing it!

Pokemon? Gone From Daylight? AHA!
jalaki replied to GofG's topic in Comicality's Shack Clubhouse's Cafe
Yeah, I think that definitely works for the Raider image. Good find there As for the Bloodbank...it isn't open yet So you did NOT see it before, haha. It'll be opening on Halloween. However, you can get more info by clicking this link and following the directions there. If you hurry you might be able to make the deadline for opening night If not, no worries, it'll always be accepting more stuff so you can send it in (or more, if you make more) later too. -

Awesomeness! Make a few various ones, and submit them to the GFD Bloodbank (hint, hint) Definitely pretty cool though. I wanna see what else you'd come up with -
Rock on for New Jersey. *hopes other states can maybe learn a lesson, eventually*

Yeah, it really depends on what you're going for, heh. Myself, I'd probably mix-and-match between 'traditional' dragonlore and the various things created from later (eg, more recent) fiction. So there's a LOT you can do with them. Per the breath attacks, the normal D&D setup (though I've seen similar ones in other places that have nothing to do with RPGs) is that red dragons breathe a cone of fire, green breathe a cone of corrosive (acidic) gas, blue breathe bolts of lightning, white breathe cones of frost, and black breathe jets of acid. All are naturally evil and referred to as the 'chromatic' dragons. The metallic dragons, on the other hand, are all good in nature; gold breathe a cone of fire, brass breathe a stream of fire, bronze breathe bolts of lightning, copper breathe streams of acid, and silver breathe a cone of cold. Various folklore give various sizes to dragons. Wyrmlings can range from the size of a medium-sized dog to a small pony; 'ancient' wyrms can dwarf houses. They are usually not technically immortal, but are capable of living for thousands of years, growing ever-larger and more powerful. All are supposedly capable of flight. Many times dragons are often able to use magic the same as a human (or other race) would use it (eg, spellcasting), as well as having various natural magical abilities they can use at will. Many are able to change their shape into other creatures as well. As for draconic activities - all dragons are considered greedy and will go at great lengths to build up, maintain, and protect a horde, usually stored in an out of the way location such as inside a volcano, a cave, deep in a swamp, or in arctic territories. The only stronger instinct in them is the femsles' protectinon of their young. Oftentimes they don't even bother doing much else than sleeping, eating/hunting, and admiring or adding to their collections of wealth. It's usually when they get bored that they start interacting with the 'lesser' races of whatever world they inhabit, doing things like terrorizing small towns and villages (larger ones are often too well-protected ), requiring 'sacrifices', and the like. Draconic combat can be rather neat, depending on how you go about it. Large, powerful jaws, sharp talnos, a thick prehensile tail, and the natural breath weapons all give opportunities for violence. Add in magical attacks, the ability to use their wings to 'buffet' foes, and the concept of three-dimensional aerial battles can also add more to work with. Throw in things like dragon riders and you have a flying, sentient warmount As for body parts...yeah, usually scales and blood are the two most common, and tend to have a variety of uses and effects. Dragon scales are often extremely thick, dense, and strong, and are used for varieties of armor (with the 'colored' dragon types, they often can provide at least some protection from the element the dragon is accustomed to - red dragon scales are heat-resistant, etc). I don't think I've heard of acidic dragon blood before, but that's certainly a possibility, as is the 'know all lnaguages' caveat of tasting it. Sometimes dragon blood (or tears) have healing properties as well. Talons or teeth could also be used as magical components, or possibly in the formation of various types of weapons. So, how's that? Need more? Hehehe.

That's absolutely friggin' AWESOME that your teacher was able to do that, and just as awesome that you were able to point it out to her (anonymously or not - being bored and bred from your neighbor to the north, I know what it can be like there ). Both of you, pat yourselves on the back She definitely sounds like a fantastic teacher. I just finally got the download to go (about ten minutes after I started typing this reply *rofl*) and yeah, gotta give her some kudos. She made a mistake, sure, but you and she turned it around. Way to go!

Happy birthday, Nick! Hope it's a great one!

I also voted "doesn't matter" although I'd rather pick a "don't you DARE all post on the same day" hahahahaha. Like many others said, I'd hate to have a dozen authors or more each post a chapter all at once *shudder* But then again, I almost NEVER read new chapters on "release day" - I wait until I'm caught up on their story (if necessary), when I'm not too busy with the million other things I'm always doing (which isn't often hahaha), etc etc etc....so I really don't care all that much. They post it on Monday, I might get to read it that day if the stars align, or maybe not for two weeks if they're really out of whack

Hehe, it's a good thing! Happy birthday, Jared! Hope it's a great one!
