Another great chapter Matt. You make the characters feel very real so it's easy to get into your story. A cliff hanger all ready!

Circumnavigation (99+56) The Belly of the Beast

Great story CJ. If only the eye was wider and they weren't low on fuel. -
How about "Working It Out"

Around here most houses are unlocked and the few that are locked have the key hanging under the deck. All cars are unlocked with the key in the ignition. It's great on hot days to go into a store and leave the windows wide open and know that no one will steal your cd's or anything else. In the winter everyone leaves the cars running with the heater on when they go into stores. I hate the thought that some day it may not be that way any more.

If you think that's bad you should of been there in the 70's & 80's.

Another great chapter CJ. There sure are lots of twists and turns. I don't think the custom agents had any right to search Atlantis. Were they thinking Trevor was hiding something? They just board Atlantis and decide to search for an hour or so to look for something? Maybe Trevor shouldn't think they are friends. I wish the chapters were a little longer but I could read for hours.

Circumnavigation 63 : Clouded Judgement
slug replied to C James's topic in C James Fan Club's Topics
I think Sanchez is thinking that George & Bridget are becoming too big a risk and did have the room bugged. Maybe send the tape to a P.I. I'm sure Shane was just writing in his journal and would never hurt half naked Trevor. In fact, I think Trevor will rent a boat to get out of the area for awhile and Shane will go with him. It's time for some sex! -
Circumnavigation 62: Enemies Near and Far

I think it's Shane poking around to verify everything. Will he help Trevor or attack him is another question. -
Get well soon CJ. Try a little chicken soup to get rid of the chills and feel better.

Great chapter CJ. The title to the boat is in Trevor's name and so isn't the insurance. Trevor has no knowledge of insurance fraud so he can't be guilty of anything and the insurance has to pay. I assume the insurance is capped at some point and is not unlimited to total replacement. I guess the boat is registered in Dirk's name so that is why the Constable came up with him and not Trevor when investigating the EPIRB. I hope Trevor borrowed a couple of blankets to sleep on. Bank, buy clothes, talk to boat yard, call Joel & Lisa to tell him he is OK. Will Joel & Lisa be at their special spot?

Thanks for clearing that up CJ.

I really enjoyed that chapter CJ, Thanks!

Good chapter CJ. I hope Connor is correct about the thugs mixing up the boats with the bomb if it does make it to the boat. What are the odds of anchoring next to another boat from Florida. I'm guessing the next chapter will end with a big cliff hanger.

You guys nailed it. Jim, like a typical lawyer, answered a question that was not asked so Gonzales would change his line of thinking. I would still bet that Jim and Dirk are a couple and since Dirk was married to Rachel before that would make him bi and not gay. No lies. Just don't tell what you know.

Nearly everything is in the programing now a days. A code can be given 4 or 6 digits. The less digits the easier it is to figure out how to bypass it (look at the dirty keys). You can program to monitor or leave local, entry & exit delays can be set to anything, sounder (siren) turned off after a time (local siren after an hour). I always let a keypad have it's beeper sounder beep during entry to remind the owner he had x amount of time to disarm. It does give someone a heads up to where the keypad is but trashing a keypad does nothing to disable the alarm. But the sounder can be turned off. Alarm manufactures have master codes for different model panels but monitoring central stations replace that code with their own master code. Some panels you can program over 100 entry/exit codes so it's possible that a precinct could be given a master code unique to them. It would depend on the cities policy with police and monitoring companies. The customer file would contain which doors have delays or are immediate alarms. I would personally have any master code call the central station immediately since it is not a normal operation. Any time a technician worked on a alarm the central station would know about it a head of time so they knew about alarms being sent. A system can be programed to send openings/closing once a week, daily or immediately depending on the business and how critical an alarm is. We questioned every bank keypad entry no matter what. Openings/closing were sent immediately in that case. I sent low battery warnings at midnight when the monitoring was quiet. Whether it's monitored or not every keypad press is recorded in memory along with time & date. I hope this helps you but I think what you wrote was possible. I had no experience with big police departments.

Alarm openings and closings are sent to the central alarm station and logged. I owned a small alarm company and never gave the police a master code as it was their policy to never enter a property until the owner or caretaker was on site. A central station has the ability to arm, disarm and reset alarms remotely. Since this was a precinct code I would think they would of been called but in any case there is a record of this at the central station and in the alarm box memory should anyone care to check at a future date. Was Sanchez wearing a wire/recorder? Will he anonymously send Bridget's confession to the police and get rid of all her liabilities and be free to use his other sources. Dirk is back? I thought he was gone camping for months.

This chapter was packed with information but it still doesn't help me make any conclusions. I was thinking along the same lines as Trebs except not the ring, but I think his idea is the correct one.
-
I hope Trevor gets the agent Bob and Melanie used and not someone Bridget knows. Bridget is turning out to be a poor choice of friends and when she was talking to Lisa she was convinced Trevor would meet someone in the boating community. I wonder if that is how the hit will go down. Get invited aboard and then when you least expect it...poor Trev. Joel won't be there to retrieve the gun for him.
-
I don't think Trevor has thought everything through for this trip and he is learning a lot from his new friends. He will have a lot of new information to think about and you can be sure Joel will mention it. Maybe Trevor will meet an Aussie family with a teen his age at the convoy through the Suez and the teen will join Trev on Atlantis to give him a hand to Australia. The remainder of the trip is going to be exciting and we know without cliff hangers. Could the Sea Witch be the Ares? We have been given the hint of the rumble of diesel engines twice for some reason, at Bridget's dock. I hope Dirk sends Trevor's camera along with the cell phone so he is able to get plenty of pictures for this once in a life time adventure.
-
If detective George Alford were to harm Trevor, Dirk would get blamed for all murders and Bridget would be off the hook. Bridget was pretty sure Trevor would meet up with someone from the boating community. I hope he is careful.

This story keeps getting better and better.

I have read all the stories except Jake which I can't afford to. You can't go wrong with any story you pick. Just be prepared to spend time reading because it's hard to stop.

I think Rachel is alive and well living in Australia where the Ares resides. The only thing Dirk is guilty of other than lieing to Trevor about Rachel's disappearance is accepting her life insurance money and the insurance for the Ares which he had to do or the disappearance of Rachel they schemed up would not of looked real. Rachel had to disappear because of something she heard from the two lawyers and their wives she had on her last charter or Bridget was harassing them with legal problems.
