Well it is a fantasy story.

I always like to end my stories in a hopeful if not happy note.

Wow. This surprised me. I think it's quite true though especially when you can see social differences between yourself and the other group. Doesn't make it right but to some extent it makes me sad and maybe even a little ashamed cause I might be guilty of this without even being conscious of it. Definitely made me think about how I would and should react if the situation did come up.

CHAPTER 39: A Prophecy Fulfilled The battle was over. We had lost. Blood stained the sun as it shined over the horizon, shedding its rays on thousands of bodies lying dead on the ground. The metal skins of enemy tanks glinted lightly in the light, their husks empty and broken. Smoke billowed from various areas as small fires raged across the battlefield. Hey, I think you're thinking of two separate prophecies. The Seer's prophecy is about someone close to Adam dying (Ch. 16). The other prophecy about a powerful mage from outside the city came from Adam's discussion with Brian and Rye (Ch. 33). Well, I outright said Madame Rooste was evil. It was just a question of what her role is in the greater scheme of things. Hehe. As for how the obelisks will be stopped, it will be in the next chapter.

Is she a grown woman or just mature-looking?

Hey, I'm back to reading this again. I'm taking a hiatus from reading non-romance stories and have picked this up first. I skipped most of the earlier chapters which I more or less still remembered from the first time I read them on efiction. Anyway, just finished this chapter earlier and now that I know it will have a happy ending, I can continue reading contented haha. Anyway, just posting to put the +s.

Thanks! The next two chapters and the epilogue are much like this one where they explain a little more of what's going on. It wasn't my intention to squeeze them all in the end but that's just what happened.

Oh... my... god... haha... I must say I agree. This song is horrible. On a side note, Lady Gaga's song aren't bad! Well, at least the earlier ones. I don't like the recent ones. But don't give up hope! There are actually good pop songs out there. Just take this song by Pink. I think it's actually pretty good and I'll share it with you to take away the sting of what you just heard.

I missed the old days where I could virtually read every single new chapter posted in efiction and leave reviews. It wasn't necessarily to get reviews or readers for my story (in fact only 1-3 people ever left reviews when I started lol - hello Nephy). But I knew that SEEING someone leave a review your story can be a huge boost to write your story so in a way I wanted to return the favor for other new authors. I have no proof for this whatsoever but I have a feeling that most people here write to be read, you know? If they don't see any evidence that their stuff is being read... well, we can't expect his/her writing to continue for very long. I think just as authors can get busy, so can readers. I know I don't have as much time to read now than I did before and I wish I could leave a review for each new update posted in GA Stories.

Baaad! Haha. But I'm afraid I can't release more than one chapter a week. I want to at least read and edit each chapter a few times before release which... takes time. Hehe. And, at the rate I'm writing my next story (which is slow at the moment), if I post faster, I'll have a longer lull time where I'm not releasing anything. I won't of course take it against you if you decide to stop reading. I am after all not a big fan of waiting for the next chapter to be released. Although, it might make me sad. >.
