  1. Sara, Have I ever done anything BUT try to misdirect things when speaking about the future of SS?? Did you really think I would give it up there? Now I MIGHT have left clues elsewhere on the web - as in not GA - but I wouldn't put much stock in that either. Just a few more weeks and it will be over - then I can pester you about clues to Social Skills [sS II?]
  2. HC, That is odd. I was able to access it by searching - I typed in Seco and it appeared in the pick down menu. I went to Authors, searched for me, found me, clicked on me and the story was there. It was also on my stories list on my profile. Maybe it was a glitch that they fixed?? But thanks for the alert, I will keep tabs on it now. Andy
  3. I agree with Sara, the end of the chapter with Charlie was a knife in the heart. It was especially poignant after we hear Charlie wishes Karl was his poppa too. I don't see why Paul has a right to be upset - well not really. Had Gillian actually said something more direct, then yes - but hers was so laced with innuendo that Karl had the right to hold that back, as for Timothy, he said he was going to tell Paul and frankly that is as it should be, it needed to come from them not Karl and again, short of actually saying it, whose to say he wasn't fishing for something - like, what's going on with you two - and pretending it's okay to get Karl to confirm their suspicions. Sue isn't exactly the type to stand back and give Paul slack in his life now is she?? Which begs the question, who's Mother/Wicked Witch - in-law is she modeled after hmmmmm . Two more then the start of (Un)masked - woo hoo can't wait for both. [sorry I saw Maria use this and I was like snap, me likes, so I used it too.]
  4. Yep, got that one about the contractions should get better in the later chapters - the ones I posted in the new system at some point - maybe, yeah right - I will revise it, the contractions aren't the only issue, comas, speech tags etc, all need fixing. I've been the subject of a couple Missed Connections which is awkward when you are taken. Thanks for reading. Andy
  5. Haha, well I haven't seen you give anything away so that wasn't my point, I just meant for once, you knew no more than anyone else when i posted a chapter. I think I might need to withhold the last chapter until just before I post it, just for fun . As for the Interview, I would ask anyone who reads it to thank Phoenix for doing this. he said he does it to find out more about authors he wants to know more about, but it really is a good service he does for all of us. I have read them all and find them pretty interesting. Andy
  6. Don't be so quick to discount intuition. We haven't seen the last of Det. Belle or Dravek, who knows, they might still be pricks after all
  7. Something like that, maybe, Next chapter is Wednesday so you'll have to wait a few days to find out that.
  8. More problem's Mike? Whatever would give you the idea that there might be more issues? I won't go so far as to say it has to do with money - but then do I ever really say what I am really going to do next? [i learned that trick from Nephy, who is at the U.K. meet this weekend and probably won't see that I stole an arrow from her quiver ] There are a few chapters left, some less angst filled than others. Am definitely interested to see how people feel when it is over. That is my inner angst. Andy
  9. Mike, see my response to Trevor about not making more of things than was there. How does he know, unless they said it to him, that they loved each other? Of course in general, I suspect you are right but interesting enough, by a WIDE margin, I have been with Mike longer than anyone else has been Married in my office. In fact the next closest would be my lesbian supervisor who has been with her partner 10 years. In two weeks, Mike and I will celebrate 16 years. A drop in the bucket for you and your wife to be sure, but I still have a few years to catch up.
  10. Haha Frosty - since I JUST sent you the next 3 chapters to edit, this might be the first time in a while where you gave a review where you DIDN'T know what happens next And since I won't spoil things I won't tell you what happens next either
  11. Two things, 1) L&O is fiction. I have only seen a very few instances in 12 years where witnesses have died before trial under mysterious circumstances. These have involved gangs, serious thugs etc. That WON'T happen here - see Jason's speech about who knows who best. In the world of the rich, they don't kill people, the murder their character on the stand. As for love - well I think that word is WAY over used. Folks love each other after a day it seems. The detective's use of like has very little to do with homophobia and more to do with not over stating things. He was after all saying what his impression was - he has/had no way of knowing if they used the "L" word with each other. Like was much safer.
  12. At his core, Peter is a very good person, but like all of us we sometimes say or do the wrong thing. Peter knew this an hour after Jason left. But Peter is also a bit of a control freak, and when Jason didn't do what he wanted/needed him to do, he lashed out. Oh well, it's all better now, right??
  13. Aw shucks, you think I'm . . . er Jason, is modest. Oh an What Foreshadowing?? You think something else is going to happen? Thanks so much for everything Anyta
  14. Chapter 37 is up - as promised. I am keeping to my twice a week posting as I have 3 and a half chapters left to complete. Some of the scenes have already been written, now just tying them together. Looks like it will be 48 in total. Sappy as this is going to sound, I want to thank everyone for reading and all the reviews I have received. Those of you who write know what it feels like to see a new review posted or a new post was left on the forum. Those of you who are readers might not know just how special you make it for the writer, but speaking for myself it is really wonderful knowing that you are not only reading but you also took the time to let me know you are reading. I probably don't say it enough but thanks again for reading and for commenting. Here's your link: Chapter 37: A New Day Andy
  15. Arriving at the Student Union ten minutes early, Jason decided to get some food. He never liked going to practice without eating lunch, especially not the practice after a game. Win or lose, Coach Slewman always had things to work on following a game. Passing the prepared meals, processed lunch meat and burgers, was still difficult for him even after all these months trying to eat like Peter. The choices available if you ruled out the things he liked, were salad, yogurt, fruits, and the
  16. Haha, of course not. People surprise us all the time, but you can do whatever you like but Jared is a bottom. Having know a few, I . . . well let's just leave it at that. And who said it was/would be unrealistic??? Sheesh, twas a joke. Even frosty laughed and she never get my humor. Seriously, I am just playing with you. Really I am, stop laughing, I was. Andy
  17. Wow, thanks for that, I appreciate hearing it, well not that you read too much and did too little but that you enjoyed it. Am about 2/3 done posting so not a ton more but a few more chapters to go. Thanks for reading and for the comments. Andy
  18. I said befor Peter is a self conident, psuedo bad boy wannabe, so no he has that chip there for most of the day, maybe all of it. As for D, since he plays for the wrong team, I won't fight you for him, but he would be so my type if he had a change of heart
  19. When the story is over - yes it will be soon, sorry - I would be interested in seeing how people saw the Rich/Poor dynamic. Just curious
  20. HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMELIA!!! Hope it's a great day!!
  21. This was a good chapter to transition things to the next step though I had this distinct impression as 'nice' as Jared is being, he is using Connor to satisify a side of himself he is still keeping from most people - I don't think it is deliberate mind you but the whole - 'I canceled our tutoring so I could come here without anyone being suspicious' - and then leaving after their 'hour' is up has the feel of an illicit affair - which poor Jared doesn't realize never works for long. Yes he is being patient and good with Connor but it is for two hours a weeks and always in Connor's room - which is perfect since there is no roommate. Ah well, let's see where this goes. Oh one last observation - but I am going to hide it in a spoiler as it is of a sexual nature, this way those who don't want to read it won't have to. [like any one is NOT going to open this right?? ] for an explanation of the above spoiler, see the below. Andy
  22. Whatever you say Frosty - this is one question I'm not answering for them, but if i had to guess I would say you are wrong
  23. Celes, Thanks for saying "hi" and the well wishes. Not that I want to argue with you - God knows lawyers, NEVER Argue right? - but I am not sure excluding her is harsh - and I mean that I am not sure anymore. When this started, I was all for including her, because naturally at some point the kid(s) will figure out neither Mike nor I gave birth. We do want to keep on good terms with her, at least that was always my argument. Mike has always been the more worried about stuff - which is really surprising given I am the prosecutor, not him, and I see so much more crap then him. I was always much more willing to include her in our future plans. But where I am adamant is she will not be the parent, or have a say in parenting or raising the child(ren). Her comments lead me to worry she might be wanting to be a little closer than we want or expect. I am trying to keep an open mind, and not worry too much, but I also don't want to let something build up and eventually be much hard to rein in than if we nip it now. Tough line to walk, because we do want the keep the lines open for the day when we decide to tell the kid(s) about their mom and let them make contact. So, I am not entirely sure which approach is best - exclude her, or include her. Still working that one out. I'd say I have time but that isn't something we really have that much of anymore LOL. Thanks again. Andy
  24. Congrats on the new MacBook, I love mine, not sure about Mobile me, are they still charging $99 a year for it? If it is free I would consider it. Why Office 2011?? I use Page - Apple's 'Office Suite.' I find it works better than Word, it converts Word docs just fine, whereas Word won't convert Pages, at least not the non Mac Version. Oh well, happy writing Andy
  25. Well compared to a mountain you are an infant, compared to a Banana you are ancient, so it's all relative I suppose.
