    Mark, perhaps I wasn't clear, I wasn't suggestion Older men aren't attractive, just the opposite - I just don't know of ANY older gay characters being written about right now. So if there are stories with main characters over 30 that I can read, lay 'em on me.

    Oh no, August is right out - it's not about having holiday left, I have 10 weeks and counting already this year I can use [we have to work weekends and holidays and we early extra time off at 1.5 times the hours we work] but anything after early July and we are going to be on baby watch. I can't leave the country and have the babies born. Maybe we will come over before that and just make the rounds

    Am totally jealous you guys are doing this. Ten more days and I would have dragged Mike across the pond so we could be there, but our holiday doesn't start until the 12th. Sigh. Another fun thing I am going to miss.

    **Groan** **Sigh** If it were only 2000, I'd be . . . I'd . . . I'd still be old. But getting back on topic, there aren't a lot of characters who are old enough for me to lust after - I can't think of anyone over thirty I would want to date from any story I read. I'm open to suggestions

    Not at all how I expected it to start, but then I don't really know what I should expect. Somehow I thought there would be more drama, more bad guys in the first 15 word, IDK. But this was both nice and scary. Shutting off the world is more of a problem then reverting back to a sex slave during their 'fun' times. Perhaps one feeds into the other. Poor River, despite his best intentions, he still has no idea what he is doing or what he has gotten into.

    Matt needs to be careful what he promises. War is tricky stuff, no one is assured of coming home, especially not when, like him, you are on the front line. One question - Owen said everyone who dies on earth comes to Galwrock - is that going to be explained a bit later on? Chapters like this are great, its a slice of reality amidst an impending war. What I mean is, in the back of our [the reader] minds, the enemy lurks, yet we are still able to see their lives and their struggles away from the war in a way that gives us further insight into who they are. I thought it was good. Andy

    That was a rather fun start - be interested to see where you go with it. But for a 'straight' guy, Oscar made sure to come out with style. I can see how this would upend his life rather drastically. Hopefully there will be more chapters to follow. Andy

    What happens next might be harder than Barbara trying to force Jason back in the closet, have to see, but it is not completely smooth sailing ahead, not yet - if ever I suppose [no that is not a cryptic message just an observation that life is rarely smooth sailing, there's always something that pops up.] Andy

    Well since you are 'late to the party' I won't say much since I just saw you reviewed 35 . As I've said in a few other comments, the idea that your last words were to curse at the person you love and then to find out that had you not stormed off what he had planned, we yeah. Eric: Thanks - you mom is so right. I have given up on the idea I will be ready when they arrive [Yeah I am resigned that it will likely be more than one]. My goal is to just deal with it as it happens - and get lots of Valium for Mike. He is still holding onto the idea he can keep the house neat and clean. His rude awakening is coming.     Wow, you might win the award for longest review. Mom's turn around worried me a bit but if you read post #178 on the discussion topic for the story you will see it was based in part on my mother's reaction/turn around. As for tissues, I am not sure if you will need them or not, maybe?? Sorry, I can't give away too much, but I promise not to beat anyone else into a coma [well no one we like at least - I can't be responsible for what happens in jail ] Thanks for the review and for reading.

    I'm not sure I would read too much into Peter's saying let's just forget it. As I tried to touch on, Peter blames himself for most of the fight, and if Jason didn't leave, Peter wouldn't have been out alone, etc. But you are correct, it would be hard for this not to affect Peter - or Jason - given how traumatic an event this was.     Thanks Geoff, obviously, you were the first to say at the end of the last chapter that Peter doesn't die because what the hell would I do for 12 more chapters LOL. Hopefully this didn't disappoint you. But at least I didn't do the amnesia bit on Peter, right
