  1. Hence why I don't click ads. Besides, ads are laden with viruses and other security hazards as well. Doesn't matter what site I'm on, I refuse to click them. If you saw my facebook, you'd see MAYBE three people from my hometown. Most of them are friends I made in college and actually care about keeping up with what they're doing. So while I have a lot of facebook friends, very few of them are people from pre-college and all of them only get to stay if I regularly speak with that person or get a laugh out of what they say on there. Sometimes the people I connect with are very wise, witty, or just funny, so I let them stay just so I can see what they do next.
  2. Just because there's no in-your-face, obvious, widespread long-term results doesn't mean there weren't any. For me, this will have long lasting results because people I barely knew or knew but didn't know they supported me rallied to it. Yes, the loud support was only for a day, but the boost to my confidence, the pride in my colleagues, those will last much longer. It reminded me that I'm not as alone as I sometimes feel, that my straight friends do care. But like Lacey said though, one day won't do much in the long run. It's something that has to happen regularly and often. That's why tomorrow I'm getting everyone moving again to wear white for the stopping bullying thing. Yes, it's not a direct action, but what more can I do? I'm not in the school system, I don't have family in it, and I'm not a resident in this area yet so I can't register to vote and start an appeal. Honestly, what else can I do? If I can't take direct action, then at least I can still help in this small way. I see it like this: yesterday was a single raindrop in the lake. No real difference overall. But that one drop of water, if we (as the thundercloud) look at that and go "hey let's get in on that", then each person, each day that stands up for something is another drop of water in that lake. Get enough water over enough time and the dam holding that lake will break down. Sure, it'd be more effective to just bulldoze the dam down, but when you don't have a bulldozer, grab a bucket, grab up the rain, and start filling it up until it breaks down that way.
  3. Over except for some of us like me who forgot that Sharpie doesn't wash off for a few days DX Now I'm gonna get the "Remember what, exactly?" for until I manage to scrub the ink off. Need to get me some washable markers
  4. That's why you do this: So people go "WTF Remember WHAT?!?" I've only left the house once for a couple of minutes and already got that reaction five times, two of those people saying they'd go home and put on purple right away to try to show their support, as well. Not a bad ratio, even if it's not that much help Edit: is it just me, or does my arm look...broken?
  5. Not directly, no, but if people ask, then awareness is spread, albeit slowly. That's why on my right forearm I've emblazoned "Remember!" in purple and black with a rainbow "aura" encompassing the first R. It'll make people look and ask. I'm not registered to vote where I'm living now, because I don't qualify for residency yet, so this is all I can do for now, but I'm going to do what I can. I've gotten my aunt, her partner, and both of their dogs wearing purple, too
  6. I forget the title but my first was one of Graeme's

  8. I don't own any purple clothing, so I'm using a purple sharpie in my hair and on my hands/wrists
  9. Happy Belated
  10. A very touching video, but considering I was already tearing up from other circumstances hitting me, I don't know if it counts that I did cry >_>
  11. When I'm stressed I'm pretty much worthless. Can't eat, can't sleep, can't draw or write, and my libido goes to zero and below. >_< About all I'm good for is shouting and crying once the hair starts flying.
  12. <.< >.> Mine libido hath returned. *humps someone* Dear lord I don't even want to know how bad it's gonna be when I finally start T XD
  13. To summarize the article: Gay is bad, mmkay just like all the other yucky sinful stuffs? But just being gay isn't what sells your soul, it's acting on it, so act straight and be normal, yush. All will be fine then. **shudder** Thank you brainwashed preachers, but I like me the way I am and any God out there that truly wanted my soul would accept me in all my facets. An actual problem like drug abuse, then yeah, I'd change that to be a better person, but my sexuality doesn't dip into the good/bad person pool, it's a neutral feature that people need to get over.
  14. Late to the show, but happy [belated] birthday!
  15. Feminists roflmfao... Absolutely love that picture and the guys brave enough to pull that stunt right there
  16. I use OpenOffice, so I've noticed the exporting as a PDF feature. I tend to really like it for stories when I'm offline. I've never used the other format.
  17. Depends. Usually it's raging around like crazy, but lately my levels of horniness have been...lacking.
  18. A book called The God Eaters >_> <3
  19. omg the Mad Hatter <3 Good looking AND good taste
  20. I guess it depends on the individual. I'm bi, but I would find it necessary to tell people because of the fact that I do lean more toward my own gender and wouldn't want someone important to me caught by surprise.
  21. Personally, lyrics don't really matter if I can't stand the voice singing them. But a beautiful voice with disgusting or severely inappropriate lyrics is almost as big a turnoff. It's kind of both.
  22. That's absolutely ridiculous. What about people with narrow hips whose thighs will touch no matter how slim they are unless they're dangerously anorexic? Skinny has always been something I've though was gross. Slender, maybe, but male or female, "skinny" is just gross. *linked for being possibly disturbing http://www.nothinspiration.com/wp-content/uploads/2006/12/anorexia-thinspiration-model-pro-ana.jpg Yeah, that's so attractive There are extremes either direction, but all the best physically is somewhere in between. Of course, physical appearance isn't really all that important as long as the personality behind it is a winner
  23. Jude Landon, from Dom's "Ordinary Us"
  24. Great work, man! Six years is quite the achievement
  25. *head explodes with images for expeditions in the near future* This is so freaking full of win...but...what if the natives don't like us...
