  1. If they were at a friend's house or if someone gave it to them, but no, I wouldn't buy one for them. Barbies are far over-priced for what they're capable of, so I'd rather spend the same amount of money and buy him some LEGO and paint them pink for him
  2. I never had this fantasy as a kid, at least not for long. When I was five or so, apparently I wanted to be something different every week because every saturday my dad would sit me down and tell me all the reasons why I'd never get that career. The only ones I faintly remember are singer and actor, though, because those ones really stung when he ripped them down. After those two, I never told anyone what I wanted to be when I grew up because I stopped dreaming about it and just gave in to the idea my father said and figured I'd just be a minimum wage labour worker if I didn't keep up the Forest Service family legacy. In the last few months though, some semblance of those childhood dreams have been resurrected with a faint desire to become an undertaker.
  3. Happy birthday!
  4. Happy birthday Frosty!
  5. Happy belated, man
  6. It depends on the person, really. I've met fifty-plusses that I counted as still young, but I've also ran into people my age that seemed ancient. It really is about your state of mind.
  7. Chronic book-sniffer here, the older the better. Used book stores are my best friend when it comes to scents, full of patchouli incense, old leather, and yellowed paper ^^
  8. My grandmother is nearly seventy and she just found it a couple years ago. I'm only 20 and pretty sure I'm going to be foreveralone man. (note: do not read in depressed tone. I am currently ok with this, though I'm not always) It's different for everyone

If I could go back and nix the transgender state, I'd have done that. However, I probably would leave my pansexuality in place... I'd also try to implant a bit more...developed? sense of humour, and make myself more naturally outgoing.
  10. I haven't lived in NM long, so I don't know anything about that. I grew up with very little access to anything but classical and a little bit of traditional Irish and Chinese, so I partially blame that, I suppose. But I also had access to Tijuana Brass, Beach Boys, Queen, and ACDC, but still ended up preferring classical, so I can't blame that in whole. I enjoy the rest in limited doses, as well, though. I was introduced to Kabuki in theatre class last year and thought it was great o_O' I like Bunraku (Japanese puppet theatre) more though. I don't know. I've never really understood the idea of getting all hyped up about a particular artist or whatever. I can be a fan of a concept or a genre, but I'm not really a fan of the people behind them. Case in point, I love dark-themed stuff, a little more specifically, I really like the comic series, Johnny the Homicidal Maniac, so by extension I'm almost required to have a baseline respect for its authour, Jhonen Vasquez, but I'm not a fan of him personally, because I do not/can not know him personally. In Gaga's case, I'm not a fan of pop, nor of any of her songs, so I definitely can't be a fan of her, specifically. I guess it's sort of a trickle-down effect for me. I suppose that, if by some fluke of nature I were to be able to meet Gaga in person and we were to become friends, a respect could grow from that. But no way that's happening.
  11. Yes, but I was answering more from the perspective of the wording of the question, "being a gay" rather than "being gay" Being gay is not a choice, Acting flambuoyant and stereotypically gay may or may not be, but isn't in my case.
  12. It's probably self-taught. I can do it too, but because comes more naturally for me, being left-handed in a world that writes in a right-hand way.
  13. And the reverse. I'm just me, and I don't really fall into either pattern. I know who I like to sleep with, but the surrounding behaviours don't seem to like either mold at all.
  14. Your speed was: 72wpm. You made 2 mistakes, your mistakes are shown in bold text I seem to have improved since highschool. My average in my keyboarding class was 51 wpm with two to three mistakes, which is what I voted in the poll, then I took this and O_O
  15. Both. When I absolutely have to handwrite, my handwriting tends to be a blend of cursive and print that I think does away with some of the more illogical cursive versions, like the cursive G. How the heck does something resembling a pregnant treble clef mean "G"? Actually...most of my uppercase letters seem to be a modified print style, most of my lowercase are cursive. So I guess I have my own personal handwriting 'font', as it were.
  16. No. I find myself agreeing with Yang here. Personally, I don't get what the big deal is. So she climbed up on her own...she wouldn't have if people depended on the quality of the music rather than flashy lights and what-the-hell-is-she-wearing-now?! factor. Give me some good old Brahms, please. Or at least Trans-Siberian Orchestra.
  17. Believe in it? Sure. But I'm done chasing it. I've got more important things to do than be in a constant tailspin after emotions.
  18. Generally when I can't sleep, I just keep slogging at whatever I haven't been able to get around to because sleep normally made me put a few things aside. Generally unimportant things, like watching a movie I never got around to, because I'm too shot to really do anything very useful.
  19. I tend to multitask a lot more when I'm upset and fail miserably at all of it. I'll generally be talking to at least one person on Skype or blogging on deviantArt, either way I'm ranting. I'll also usually be sketching and watching a movie or episode of a show at the same time.
  20. I can't really go anywhere without my backpack. It's big, bulky, and tacky, but I need too much stuff with me all the time. Contents of backpack: Wallet Sonic Screwdriver/UV pen Mechanical pencils Archival quality inking pens Sketchbook scrap paper Textbooks Cellphone Anything else that seems important that day
  21. I've tried to make it be a choice. It isn't.
  22. My Sephiroth cosplay came in today (friend bought it for me). Unfortunately I'm not really feeling well so I was too lazy to put on the whole thing, so I let the coat and my L cosplay pants go on a date.
  23. The WBC. So messed up even the KKK doesn't want anything to do with them.
  24. Thanks everyone ^^
  25. Been there, buddy, and I won't say it's a bad idea. Out of all the relationships I've had, the one where I dated a guy exactly 20 years my elder was the most stable yet. Just pay attention and be careful, like with any other.
