  1. No. Drew and his P'Spikey don't share well with others. Why the bruhaha that insued when Benz ended up here having milk and cookies with Mum was classic.
  2. Did you know you can graft a pear branch onto an apple tree and the tree will grow apples and pears but not oranges.
  3. Wow! She's first again. She teally is the Queen.
  4. I'd vote for the Belsnickel to beat him with a switch before hauling him away ...
  5. I like chutney. The PA Dutch are big on pickling as a way of preserving things.
  6. Because, you don't always do the opposite. Why just other day you shared eye candy when I asked. So there's always hope you adorkable lil twit. 🥰
  7. Happy Second Christmas, Boxing Day, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa ... y'all. I've been coping with a migraine since Monday afternoon. It's still with me. They have been particularly bad since I've recovered from the cold(?) Mum and I had at Thanksgiving. This has not been the holiday we'd hoped. Because we were ill we didn't bake as many cookies. Not that it mattered in the end as we still had plenty to share just less variety. We didn't do much shopping. A few things for neighbors and Mum's great grandson. It bothered her that she didn't have gifts for me. I ordered a few things online. What I ordered for her arrived and she liked them. Of the two things for me, one was the wrong size, the other arrives today(?). I don't care but it bothered her. Fortunately I was well enough to make our traditional brekkie of fritatta and english muffins. I also baked a small ham and roasted a small bit of beef. Those sliced for sandwiches along with pickled veggies was our evening meal. Followed by warm mincemeat pie with vanilla ice cream. Nothing fancy but a tradition that harkens back to Christmas Eve when I was a child. We always went to Mum's parents. My Grandma always had cold baked ham and roast beef that we made into sandwiches. Mum and her sister provided a variety of picnic type sides plus cookies for dessert. We shared the ham, beef, pickle plus scalloped potatoes with our neighbors. She has pnuemonia and he just got back from a two night stay in the hospital after a fall. Normally she would have baked a ham and made the best homemade German potato salad and a macaroni salad. She just wasn't well enough. I told her we had plenty to share and that what friends do for each other. We'd given them a plate of cookies with homemade fudge, fuitcake and some peanut brittle the day before. So they too had a quiet celebration. I don't mean to whine, I suppose it's just compounded by the fact that our Christmas last year was less than normal because we had covid. It bothers me because these are some of Mum's last Christmases and Christmas has always been special for her. Blessed be y'all.
  8. Can't you just not?
  9. I thought you'd go for something a bit more vibrant but it seems you're suggesting this might be your shade afterall. Matte or gloss? More importantly, how many tamales?
  10. A Very Merry Christmas Y'all.
  11. Merry Christmas Page.
  12. Merry Christmas Frog Prince.
  13. Merry Christmas Gary.
  14. Hey Drew, who has been kissing on your boy? I know it wasn't you because that's not your shade of lipstick.
  15. She didn't say she ate them, only that they were served. Now be nice, it's Christmas and Hanukkah.
  16. Just because you get coal as a gift doesn't mean you need to burn it to warm the palace. You don't seem to mind when other's herd members make an appearance here so it's only appropriate that you occasionally share your eye candy. Of course the state of emergency clause? Maybe if you didn't claim everything an emergency.

    Epilogue

Herne was the horned god, sporting stag's horns. I recognized him when he flickered into view.

    Epilogue

Nicely done. My version of the Wild Hunt is Celtic and led by Herne but I like Woden here in your version. I like that Love overcomes what might otherwise have been tragic.
  19. Hi Dodger. Merry Christmas!
  20. Great minds and all that.
  21. Just remember Santa leaves presents under the tree not under the covers.
