Thanks Nick. I bought some cranberry english muffins yesterday with the intent to make sandwiches. Lightly toasted with turkey, yum.

Thank you Albert. I've already got plans for a hearty turkey noodle soup. The forecast is for it to turn cold. Winter time temps with potential subfreezing lows beginning this weekend into early next week.

Had to make phone calls letting our friends and neighbors know we must cancel Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow. I've been fighting what mostly seems a nasty head cold since last Friday. I thought I was improving then suffered a setback today. This afternoon Mum started exhibiting symptoms. We do not want to share this with anyone. Nor do we have the energy necessary to host. I still have to roast a 12lb turkey tomorrow. It's thawed and must be cooked. I foresee an abundance of leftovers. The saddest part is that while prepping sides this afternoon we came to the conclusion that this year would be our last year to host a dinner. Mum just doesn't have it anymore and another year isn't going to fix that.

Well, technically despite their differences she remains Lady Brentwood. Now as to becoming too comfy in the role, perhaps. Or is she hoping for a continuing reapproachment that returns her to Society?

That's cute. It could be fun to do. Unfortunately, Mum is 89 and doesn't have the energy she once had. Just baking our usual 15 different cookie types is going to tax her. That being said much of what we used to do together is now mostly me.

Today I was making peanut brittle at dawn. It needs to be cold and dry and t I day's temperatures were similiar to what we experience here in mid-January.
