My head aches which in turn is causing my heart and soul to ache. The winter doldrums have me firmly in their grasp. I keep thinking get up and move. However, when I do it aggravates my head and I need to retreat to the quiet of my room. To brood. Oh yes, it's become a nasty circle. On the bright side. We ate a very late brunch of reheated cheesy baked shrimp and grits. Like most casseroles it was even better as leftovers than when I served it the other evening. It was hot, tasty comfort food. Perfect for a chilly winter's day.

Looks tasty. We had meatloaf, baked potato, sweet potato for Mum and coleslaw and leftover Christmas cookies for dessert.

It's been cold and damp here most of the day. It started with sleet around 10am lasting about 2hrs. Then there was a break before a cold rain started about 3:30. It never got above 36/2° which despite it being climatologically the coldest part of winter is well below the average high temp. of 50/10°. Despite a migraine I made homemade scallop chowder. It was the perfect thing for dinner. Blessed be y'all.
