Thank God -
Ok, so I know it's been a good minute since I've updated any of my stories, but especially If By Chance. Well, if you guys are still with me, I've sent two chapters off to Talonrider. I'm really sorry for not getting these chapters done sooner, but the good news is that as soon as I get them back, you'll have two chapters of If By Chance to read, and chapter eight is halfway finished.
Also, I've been conflicted about the soundtrack for this story (yes, all of my stories have soundtracks ). I've pretty much got it down for this one, and I'm on a roll with it. I'll list the tracks and if you want to hear them, you can either go to Youtube or Itunes and get them. Well, technically, on youtube, you have to watch them, but the music's still there
Also, I'll post a different song from the soundtrack on the media player on my Hometown Page (the link's on the right) and you can listen there if you'd like.

So yeah, if you're wondering what I'm listening to while I'm pounding out chapters of If By Chance, now you know
BTW, The Redskins almost blew their lead over the Cardinals but somehow they managed to squeek one out.

Ok, so I know it's 7 in the morning on Sundat, and I have no idea what the hell possesed me to wake up, but I am, so let's do this. I read the entire thread that Jack Scribe started about the article written about Senator Craig, and it makes for good reading. But I think the writer missed one important point:
No one outed Senator Craig.
That's right. He wasn't outed, he was arrested for soliciting sex in a public restroom. I won't even get into my thoughts on whether the police should have been there, legislating morality, because that's a different blog entry altogether. But the fact remains that he wasn't outed by anyone. He (is) (was) an elected official. A member of the Senate of The United States Of America. He was in a public toilet, trying to get laid.
I don't care whether or not he's gay or bi or curious. He made his own bed, and now he needs to sleep in it. He railed against gays, lesbians, bi-sexuals and transgendered people in the worst way while living a double life. But he doesn't owe me an apology, as far as I'm concerned. He might owe you an apology, based on how you feel about his actions as a Senator.
I hope he apologizes to his family. Not for being gay, or whatever he is. He should man up and tell them the truth because they deserve to know. They've loved him and stood by him and were proud of him for everything he was, even if we don't understand where all of that comes from. He definitely decieved them, and has a lot of explaining to do.
Beyond that, I have nothing relevant to add to the discussion in the lounge, so I'll just post my thoughts here and stay out of the way.

I wanted to do something different this time. I know it's been a good minute since I've updated, so I decided to do this here.....
I want to thank all of my readers, especially the ones who've followed Bodega Bay from the beginning to these last chapters. I just posted chapter twenty nine, and there's only one chapter left to go. I'm about half way through it, so it shouldn't be too long until it's done.
Bodega Bay was sorta like My Jump Off, in the respect that it was supposed to be an anthology entry but I saw the chance to do something bigger and better with it. Those first couple of months, when I was posting chapters over at efiction and getting reviews really helped me stay motivated, because I had lost the urge to keep writing it almost as soon as I posted the first chapter.
Anyway, thanks for sticking with me, and I hope you've all enjoyed the little bit of writing I've done in the meanwhile. From here, I'll be dedicating my time to Staking My Claim, as well as Time In A Bottle. Believe it or not, I'm still trying to perfect the first chapter of TIAB so I can release it to the public in a decent state
In the meanwhile, I've posted quite a few short stories that i've recieved some really good feedback on. I'm still waiting to here back from everyone about Sorry, We're Together, my newest short...lol. I haven't even heard back from my Beta Readers about that one yet. Maybe I should take that as a sign
So if you're a reader of mine, thank you and I hope I can hold onto you in the next few months. Some of my newer stories are going to be different, to be sure, but I hope they'll also be better. Please feel free to leave a comment here, at my forum here at GA, or even by email at nicksstorypage@gmail.com. I haven't read any of the discussions about Bodega Bay on my forum yet, but as soon as I finish the last chapter you'l know because I plan to read and comment on each topic for each chapter, just to see what everyone was saying. If you email me, I promise to reply, but you'll have to give me at least a day to get back to you because I'm terrible about that kind of stuff.
Anyway, I just wanted to give my readers props, and if you stay on for the ride, I promise to do everything I can to make it worth your while.
Kisses
Nick

. It's like he covers every instrumental aspect of the song with his guitar. Here's him covering Jim Croce's song,
. It's ridiculous how good he is. If you're a member of youtube and you like what you see, leave him a comment.- Read more...

Warning...rant ahead ...........
Ok, so I saw this story on AOL yesterday about 400 dolphins that had washed up on the beaches of Tanzania, and after I read it, I went to the AOL boards to read what some people were posting about it. It was totally disgusting to read some of the people ask questions like, Who Cares?, or to see crazies saying things like, Karl Rove and Dick Cheney poisoned them. I think that dolphins are probably my favorite see mamal, and I don't think a lot of people have taken the time to learn all about them.
So, while I was posting some facts on some of the threads where people were saying dumb things like, Fish Sandwiches $3.00 and stuff like that, I came across another post that talked about Sudan, and Darfur, and I started to think about that part of the world, where people get killed just for being a certain race. So I did some research and I found out that the UN and the US and a bunch of other countries and world organizations don;t do anything to stop it. I think it's horrible. I mean, there has to be something the UN can do.
So, I research some more and I found out that the UN didn;t do anything about genocide that happened in Rwanda, and they were right there when it happened!!!! They just stood by and watched, and some of the witnesses said the UN people were raping women and kids!! I have some of the links if anyone wants to check them out. I just don't understand why we have the UN of they let stuff like this happen. Maybe the United States should think about getting out of the UN and just acting alone unless they get it together and start doing the right thing.
So, getting back to Darfur, I think that reading about all that stuff brings things into perspective. People talk about how bad it is here in the US, but the truth is, people here have NO IDEA what bad is, and that includes me for sure. Unless they immigrated here from a place like that, they can't even begin to imagine what kind of horrors their are in the world. We sit here and complain about gas and homeless people and gay rights and stuff like that, and those are all important things, but when you compare them to genocide, they don't mean anything.
Also, I saw on AOL that Mexico is about to legalize drugs I think we should do it here too.....doing drugs is a personal choice, and it's a crime without a victim. So, since it doesn't affect others, it shouldn't be against the law. It's just like sodomy laws. Unless someones raping you it's no ones business what you do, so they should have never been there to begin with. If someone sells drugs to make money, oh well. As long as they're non violent, how does it affect me? it doesn't.
I know some people say things like, "But the kids of drug abusers suffer."
If they suffer, then they should be taken out of the home because kids of alcoholics suffer too, and thats perfectly legal. Kids of smokers suffer too, and that's also legal. There's no difference at all. If you drink and do dumb things, your family suffers. If you smoke, you're slowly poisoning your kids and giving them second hand smoke thats gonna kill them anyway. At least of you do cocaine or something like that, theres no second hand smoke to murder your family with.
Rant Over
Ok, so I just sent chapter 43 of What's the difference Between me and you? to my editor, so, as soon as he gets it back to me, I'll post it
Kisses

Ok, so I did it...I finished my anthology entry and now it's off to Kitty...I hope it's good enough to get published
I worked super hard on it, and i wanted to try something original. The theme was a day of silence, as most of you know, and i thought it was kinda generic, so I decided to go at it from a different angle. I'm hoping people like it. Also, I can't wait to post it in the short stories section of my new and improved Nick's Story Page
So anyway, besides that, I'm super ticked at myself for not saving the changes to chapter 36 of my story that I spent like 20 minutes editing
But I'll live.
I feel a little guilty because we didnt go to church today, and I was hoping we'd go tonight, but no one made any attempt to get out the door. I think I have to work on Wednesday night, but I'm not sure until I see the schedule again. I know I have to work tomorrow for sure. No matter what I do, I'm going to church next Sunday for sure because I have to tithe 10% of my pay. Well, I don't have to, but I want to. It makes me feel good to give to the Lord because he's blessed my life in sooooo many ways
Anyway, I made a new layout for my page. If you saw it yesterday, you'll see what I mean. I took some of Shadows advice and it's definitely easy on the eyes now. Also, I jumped from #114 in the top list yesterday to # 68 yay!!! Thanks to everyone who voted for me.
The only thing I wonder is whether or not there's any kind of code there so I can add a banner link to GA instead of the generic link that's there now. I meant to ask that about two other sites as well. If you're Myr, or a GAC, and there is, and you want me to, I'd be willing to put a banner up for GA to promote this site. I want to get as much traffic coming here as possible
ok, g2g.....it's dinner time and I'm beyond hungry
