    Settling In

Binged read most of this over 2-3 days. Enjoy this and wonder about the author and how some of this is in his real life due to the information used? The cliff hanger here is frustrating but another feeling of wondering what is next. To the author thank-you for sharing your creativity and talent.
  2. Thank-you for your creativity and talent. Saw this day before yesterday and have binged on it until the final chapter in front of me. It was a very pleasant read. Hope to see more soon. Until next time. Peace.

    Rotten

OMG! It's been a long time since reading Camp Refuge.Thought it was over. Glad to see this back. I'm a recovering alcoholic and addict. Don't think I was ever this bad as Lee is dealing with right now. I was a black out drinker and even if people/friends had pictures of me I wouldn't believe what I had done. Sobering up is not easy. Staying sober is even worse. Took me awhile. Now in May I will have 40 years clean and sober. Longest thing in life I've ever done - besides breathe. Look forward to more of your creativity and talent.
  4. How beautiful. How absolutely beautiful of a story. I can relate to some of this due to physical/emotional/mental/spiritual violence I've had in my lifetime. It was so wonderful, but so frustrating to see so much love and yet not be able to express that love for so long between these two men. It took be about a day and 1/2 to go through this whole story since I could not stop once I started. Brian - I also believe it does not matter what your orientation is LOVE is what matters. You both lived it...too short...but a lifetime...warmth and hugs to all. J.D.
  5. this was another great chapter...it is so great to see the love coming through. Isn't this what life is about? To love one another? gay/straight/rich/poor/black/white??? How wonderful. How absolutely wonderful. Thanks for sharing your creativity and talent.

    Chapter 9

thanks for your creativity and talent as mentioned in an previous email. I look forward to this continuing and easily read story. I've been around people on both sides here and can see this from an objective stand point. But, I still remember when I was first coming out and so afraid that someone would find out. The abuse as related in the story bought back memories I care to forget about and lock away. But, even decades later it is still a case in point when I hear from my nephews that some kids can still be cruel to others. To see the evolving of the Dane character and the help of his cousin/brother Fel (and Sammy) brings great empathy. I realize it is just a story...but the memories can sometimes be hard to face once being so far removed from them. Cheers.

    Turnaround

FINALLY!!! Now, I feel better and less stressed on what was gonna happen. I realize it is just a story that I got wrapped up in, but I REALLY enjoy it. Look foward to more. Thanks again for sharing your creativity and talent.

    Chapter 45

Wow! Not into pain. Had too much of it growing up...not the SMBD. Good to see about Greg and the start of a relationship. Glad for the honesty w/what was taking place with those two...and what the future would hold. Fast reading story. Stayed up half the night not wanting to stop! Thanks for the creativity.

    Chapter 12: Crazy

man oh man...what a shocker of an ending! Now I have to wait until the next chapter :-( I'll be waiting in annntiiicipation! Finally getting to see the character development of why the guys are the way they are in connecting with one another. As a person with bi-polar disorder I can be empathic with the emotion aspects of dealing with self and others. Sure to hope to read a positive outlook/ending with all. Don't think I could handle it otherwise. I know, I know it is just a story, but...
