    Dream's World

This type literary work hits very close to my heart! I thoroughly enjoyed the parallel universe of two greatest mysteries of human life – splendid. In fact for me it ended too soon! I would request a more vivid description of each section of Dream’s realm, may be some more exposure to Death’s world too – more intensity, complication and deeper reach of these two Super Heroes in the sphere of human life... when it comes to these topics, I want to go crazy, insane, sick... to the extent that it changes my perception of the whole existence of mankind (even if temporarily) and actually takes me to THAT parallel universe for a few moments or so... Dream and Death eluded me for as long as I can remember, and most possibly beyond that and they keep changing their persona just like the sea in your story! It’s great to see them personified... please write more of these, and if you can make it elaborate, I will be eternally grateful! Oh! Thanks to frosty for suggesting that I read this! This is sooo sick!
  2. To a common mind, unknown comes with a feeling of darkness, uncertainty and may be fear (at least to me and many people that I know of). You have the incredible ability to look at unknown under bright sunshine rather searching for it with a tiny oil lamp (!) and this poem just proves that... And that is probably the biggest source of inspiration to me till date... thank you and I am proud of you... (No need to respond to this here- I just felt compelled to write something against this poem, because this is my 'favorite' among all your works so far - hungry to see more )

    Poem

Thanks Maria It really isn't a casual poem. and yes, it conveyed meanings that can be interpreted differently. Like i explained to Sam, it reflects my state of mind at the time. Thank you for reading and reviewing it.

    Poem

Thank you so much Sam. I'm glad that you understood the duality in the poem. the poem itself is the whole story, if you ask me. The poem was a result of my state of mind at the time, mostly in regards to death, close people on life support, and the helplessness of the relatives around. To me the positiveness in the end implies the ones departing and the darkness prevails for those they leave behind.

    Poem

‘Do I know you?’ Asks the mirror from the other side of destiny. Rebellion in the shadow of darkness Knows... Neither you nor me can conquer fate, but Either you or I shall fight till the end! ‘Sure?’ ‘Sure... sure, my friend!’ Pale moonbeam and dusty boots, Raging through the concrete jungle of eternity: Eternity – A curse! Vesuvius embraces the Universe And his seven sons, while I wait... and I cry... Lonely harp's eloquent silence prevails till d

    The 'IT'

Thanks Maria. yeah, that feeling of self-pity comes from what philosophers call... ummmm... experience - both personal and second hand...
  7. Thanks Colin. yes drinking has serious side effects. But it does help 'elevate' your state of mind, eh? (even if momentarily!) Thanks a lot, Cia. Well, a drunk spills his heart out, so yes, I would say Jeremy did think about these things over and over again, for days - events both personal and circumstantial that affected him over the years and influenced both his conscious and subconscious self have taken him to an eternal state of depression, agony and hatred for anything and everything around - but somewhere inside he still has hope - in his own crooked way. This is not really a story per se, and meant to be one dimensional and biased. Jeremy is not dead to the society - he is rather invisible; the society in turn is dead to him, and he never understood the reason for either. He gets drunk pretty often (as hinted by the speaker in the end), but the reason, his reason, is left to our imaginations.
  8. Thanks Stu, Glad that u liked it . Comedy has a different dimension for me , u'll see that evertime you laugh your heart out, the cramps in your stomach brings tears in your eyes! Thanks a lot! :) I'm really glad you took the time to comment on this piece. It's all about Jeremy's perception atm. About a much broader and deeper aspect of life as a whole, which is in fact far beyond his reach or even understanding. And i think, none of us can claim that we've never had such a night! :P
  9. What are your ideas for a better tomorrow? here are Jeremy's...

    The 'IT'

Jeremy wanted to die… You see, in the end, it doesn’t really matter! In the vast and deep ocean of 6 billion filthy creatures, no one will notice if his insignificant presence ceases to exist. No one will bother if his body rots in the murky waters of the gutter along with the carcasses of poisoned rodents; just like no one cared or bothered, or to be more precise, understood (or even tried to), how his mind, his heart, his conscience, his love, his emotions, his intellect and his whole pu
