    Scarlet Indemnity

Looking at all the so-called intelligence (from both the left and the right), the virus was accidentally released before it was ready. The data indicate that the late teens to early 40s were the target (when you strip away infections and death from the immunocompromised). Military age.

    True Connection

I realized that after you responded to my last little post. So yes, I'm still enjoying the story. I suspect I'll have to read more from you, to get a rounded view of your abilities (he opines with snickers). Cliff hangers like this one? LOL!!!

    True Connection

I know that many years have passed since you wrote this story, @Stellar. First and foremost, I like this story very much. Things are being revealed in a slow way, as they should be! Second: The sex. I'll take romance any day over explicit sex. Although, I have to say that if there is a very good reason to "show" explicit sex, then forge ahead. If it becomes too much, i.e. the explicit sex is gratuitous, then I generally will stop reading. Third: Great place to end the chapter!

We have, as an example, this past pandemic. Note what I highlighted above... I suppose we should be thankful that the virus wasn't quite as deadly as it could have been!

    … And Beyond

I'm going to put in my two cents here. I run a website. I edit stories by other gay writers. It took me a year to write one story... Prologue, 14 chapters, and a very short epilogue. My beta reader and I said to stop at 85,000 words. But it's not done, so I'm writing the next book. I'm retired, but my wife is an invalid and requires care 24/7. I do all the housework. I know it's been a long time, but shift happens and real life intrudes. And guess what? We do this stuff for free!!!

    To the Edge…

To catch a spell in your hand and dissipate it... Someone needs to test Harry. He is much further advanced than anyone knows! Mr. Warrington is going to have his head handed to him. After knowing about how Blaise was raped and now this? George won't be too forgiving.
  7. I would say you are doing a very good job.
  8. Mind Healer? @Myr, one of the things I absolutely like about your take on the Harry Potter Universe is that you don't just give Harry all the powers all at once. Nor does Harry (and Draco) get the new stuff at full power. They work up to it, slowly.

    Halloween

From the joke played on Pansy to the Halloween party, it just flowed together very well. Good chapter!
  10. I suppose we will never know why the killing curse never killed Harry the first time. Nor why it went from Harry to Draco to Flint, killing Flint. If we look at the "Deathly Hallows," it is because You Know Who placed a Horcrux in Harry. Um, partially.
  11. Dark. Darker. Darkest... @Myr, you are cruel! (have you been told that before?)
  12. Hormones... sigh... I sorta remember those days.

    The Ragged Edge

Yup. We always knew there was a heart beneath that cold exterior. In other news, it appears that George gets through to Michael, about the difference between casual sex and intimate sex.
  14. I would quote @khasidi, but it would compound the rudeness. Pointing out a few grammar errors to the author is not a bad thing... When done in private. To do so in public is rude and amounts to showing off your skill, which presumably is better than the author. Back to the chapter... So, we have come back to the darker part of the story. I would assume this person was the same person who assaulted the Castle in the second(?) chapter. I would hope that none of the boys die, but at this point, I don't have a lot of faith in that hope. Great cliffhanger, @Myr. 😢
  15. I find it fascinating that it has taken 18 chapters for the hormones to waft through the castle! Hogwarts must have some excellent air filtration. I especially liked it when Snape got whopped with the empathetic broadcast! That was hilarious!

    Fizzing Whizbees

I'm finding your take on Dumbledore quite interesting, @Myr. In most of the recent gay Potter stories, he is almost always portrayed as either a very evil man or very scheming and controlling. Sometimes, both. That has much to do about how the "Deathly Hallows" ended. Before that, Dumbledore still wasn't a very well-liked character. Since the book came out in 2005 and the first part of the movie was in Nov. 2010, the second part in Jul. 2011, I suspect you have either read and/or seen them. So far, your portrayal doesn't appear to hold the animus that other Fanfic holds. Curious, that!
  17. Fred and George working on a project... For graduation, no less! Then we have Percy training Harry and Draco to be shapeshifters. A Shape that they both share? Hmm... I'm still perplexed about the relationship between Moony and Snape. I think I've missed some clues. sigh.
  18. So, Seamus and Collin weren't virgins. It sounds like Fred and George have a playmate of their own... Another Slytherin! I also suspect that if Harry and Draco leave their shields down... They may also shed their virginity. Hey, It's a gay story! It's expected at some point. LOL!!!
  19. Harry and Draco had better find a way to suppress their entangled emotions. Else everyone will "discover" their secret. I do like that you are keeping Snape the way we are all used to! He's much better at the charade than Draco. Then we have Collin. sigh. The younger boy will not take the hint. He is going to get hurt.
  20. Oh, Dear! Another chapter with no comments... sigh... A lot is going on in this chapter. It appears quite a few matchmakers are on the prowl. Should I mention the conspiratorial talk between Moody and Tonks? Luckily, I'm retired and can (sorta) breeze through the next few chapters!
  21. That was a sweet chapter. My takeaway from this chapter was that even though they slept together, there wasn't much more than some mutual exploration. A very nice and refreshing side of gay writing. Then we have the natural competitiveness between two midteen boys!

    Revelations

I haven't read the novels, just seen the movies. Regardless, this is still by far the best Harry Potter story I've read. And since it is now 12 years since it was written, that says quite a bit!

    Expecto Patronum

Twelve years, 5500+ reads, and no comments? Wow!!! Myr, that was a good chapter. I believe with what Harry was thinking about, just before he saw where that silver thread went... He's figured it out.
  24. Unlike many Fanfics, at least Harry and Draco aren't immediately falling into bed with each other... Props for that!

    Riding the Express

Years and years late for any comments... But I just had to! This is shaping up to be one of the better Potter Fanfics I've read. Very dark from the beginning and now a couple of lighter chapters. Since I can't wait to see how this all develops, why, I'll just keep reading!
