Despite all of my (and others) criticisms, I really like this story. This is somewhat a different genre than you usually write. I would put it in the suspense and/or mystery category.

I'm starting not to like Devon, again. Not letting Mac help, especially in something like this, is tiresome. Devon's reasoning is shallow and ego-driven. We are talking about an armed and dangerous rapist here! Add to this that Campus Security is as liable to arrest Devon if they see him lurking about. He doesn't have to fit a profile if he is acting suspiciously.

I haven't commented until now. I've been busily binge-reading! Even though this type of story is not my favorite genre, every once in a while I indulge in steamy romances. This was one of those times. @CasualWanderer82, you wrote a very well-done HEA romance. Thank you for allowing us to read it.

A rather poignant chapter. I'm not at all sure what I make of it. Yes, Jacob finally got the love he wanted (no thanks to Christian). It seems at the cost of Jeffrey, however. I guess we will see...

Let's face it. Christian blew it because he couldn't face his own demons. He lost the only person that truly loved him. In that sense, I really don't care what becomes of Christian. Life is hard. Decisions can be just as hard. -
I'm still not sure what to make of this. As @scrubber6620 said, there is no linearity to the story... So far. Of the three guys, Jeffrey is the most enigmatic. While Sylas appears to be the leader, it is Jeffrey that seems to stand out. At least at the end of the chapter.

Yes, it was a good chapter. I like that it flew right past Halloween. Devin and Mac aren't into all the drunken parties that pervade campuses!

I've found that most kids at college/university are generous at Christmas time... At least it is that way up here in Idaho. While Mac and his folks stood on their porch and waved goodbye, I also got the feeling that it might be the last time Mac saw them. Whatever it was that Devin's Dad did, it worked! We can guess, but we'll likely never know for sure... But I like the Freddy Krueger thing! It appears we still have a problem with Devin not telling Mac what's going on. This time, Mac gets a bit annoyed.

Perhaps. But even Mac has to feel the damage this is doing to their relationship. Without honest communication that works in both directions, the relationship will fail. Should I mention that the aging thing has to be in the back of Mac's mind?

Devin is turning more and more to be a prankster. If true, it's understandable why he is not telling Mac what's going on. Still, it can be a dangerous game when you are strengthening a relationship. Overall, good chapter, Bill.

I'm getting so I hate those words when reading one of your stories. sigh. Like others, this ending leaves things open enough for another look at Trevor and the gang. I liked how you dealt with Shannon and yes, a paternity test should be a top priority. I have to say, I'll be looking forward to whatever else you have planned to write. Shifter story or something else. I enjoy how you write.

I've been editing gay-themed stories or just stories by known gay authors since 2013. At one point there were five of us going over the same stories/chapters (no, not all at the same time). Mistakes still get through. I think it is safe to say that no matter how many eyes are on a document, errors will still be found.

I only mentioned those to see if anyone else might agree or disagree. Regardless, there is another sort of power/thing that is a missing part of aqumi, or perhaps exists just below the aqumi. I'm pretty sure that this is what Shay needs to seal the breach. This also means that it will be Nyx/Mesot that will be instrumental in helping Shay to discover it.
