  1. I remember first getting a computer in the mid to late 90's. I think I would have been about 8 or 9. The first game I ever played on the computer was Creatures. I don't think I was allowed to use the internet until the 00's. Oh those were the times. I think the first time I went into a chat room it was on my dad's account. We went into some random chat room and began spurting nonsense until eventually we got kicked out. We thought it was hilarious. My first experience of being online was when I made my first email account so I could chat on MSN with all my school friends. That and playing Docking Station online (which was a sequel to Creatures). Oh yeah and I totally remember that classic old dial tone when the internet was connecting... ah nostalgia! lol
  2. This may not be particularly deep but my boy cat Hades used to have sex with our also male rabbit. Explain that one to me lol.
  3. When I got married I wanted to walk down the aisle to 'Haggards Unicorns', it's an instrumental piece from the movie 'The Last Unicorn' (best movie EVER) but the cd i burnt didn't work so i walked down the aisle to 'from this moment' by Shania Twain, still a beautiful song.
  4. Green sure seems to be popular but will have to go with Pink cause it represents lurve... Oh and of course YELLOW cause it's for happiness!!
  5. aw thanks, yeah a him.
  6. Okay so everyone says how great Brokeback Mountain was, and it was great but I have a really corny favourite movie. Its called 'Not another gay movie' or something like that. It's stupid and stereotypical but dear god it made me laugh. I first watched it with my friend and we just pissed ourselves laughing. The whole movie was more or less based around sex and it was hilarious.
  7. Technically I am not straight, I am bisexual BUT I am married to the man of my dreams and carrying his child. So it looks like I'm straight LOL I felt a bit nervous joining at first cause I was like 'ah crap I'm not technically gay' but I soon found out that it didn't matter. I joined because I have a lot of gay themes in my stories, wanted advice about what a good gay character should be like and because I just love writing in general.
  8. Well I love the idea of getting married. I did the whole marriage thing about two weeks ago with my partner of two years. I think that it can be a wonderful experience, but you have to ask yourself is it right for you before you jump in with both feet. Personally I didn't see the need to get married but it meant so much to my partner that I agreed. Marriage shouldn't be business like, it should be an emotional and heart felt thing. It's about love and wanting to announce that love to the rest of the world.
  9. I may technically be bisexual but I am married so I look straight to the outside world. But I think everyone should be able to marry the love of thier life. Gender isn't as important as love. If the straight people don't like it then they should be asking themselves why. Because to me that's an affront to love. And I'm pretty sure from the whole 'god' perspective that he's not gonna give a shit what gender you or your partner are as long as you love each other. As for using celebreties as an example, i think it fits just fine. At the end of the day they are just average people, the difference between them and us is that they have media constantly portraying thier stupidities.
  10. omg i LOVE that song, i even have a video of myself when i was about 10 lip syncing it hahaha
  11. Defintely HOT. They look o fragile and wounded like you could just take advantage of them MUAHAHAHAHA. *Ahem* but honestly I think the whole guys wearing eyeliner thing is totally sexy. I even got my man to wear it once, lets just say we got pretty frisky that night LOL But yeah I think most emo boys are super hot to look at but so help me god I would never date one unless he was a true emo and not a whiney, depressed, OVER emotional tool. xxx
  12. Thanks for all that, it's sure given me a lot to think about. I'm very much leaning towards the 'average guy' scenario. Travis is very much like that. Of course the character has never even considered sexuality before so the whole thing is new to him on many levels so I think it would be fun to explore that. More in a 'this is my first time way' than a 'i'm comig out' way if you get what I mean. I shall get to writing soon, just waiting to see what else comes up! Thanks again you guys for your input!
  13. bushy and natural is the way i like it but unfortunately my partner prefers it to be trimmed. i can't stand to shave it all off, i feel like a kid otherwise.
  14. Hi there everyone, I need your help! I want to know what makes you happy, sad and angry when you read about gay characters in a science fiction book. How gay is too gay? And what things are critical in creating a believable hero that's also gay? My aim for my next few stories is to promote homosexuality, not so much in a 'we're queer, we're here- get used to it' way but to create a world where gay people are just people and thier sexuality is not a big deal. For now please give me some ideas, hints, tips or anything that might be helpful on what a good gay science fiction should be like. Oh yes the story line... Travis Tori is a callous hard arse of a soldier, he's good at killing and revels in it. He grew up on a breeding planet where love is strictly between opposite genders. He joins the evil forces to try and find purpose in his life, but what he finds is Glendalough a fragile man on the brink of despair. Glen is a healer and has grown up where love was free, he cannot understand the joy of killing or the point of segregation. They soon teach each other many things about the world and how it works, both realising they had fairly one sided views. With that comes the discovery of the evil behind the army, they desert, trying to find a way to stop what is about to be the biggest destructive event the world has ever known. Oh and I can't include explixit sex scenes in there (I know they can be fun but my publisher is anti-smut and if I'm writing it then it will be SMUT) Thanks in advance for your help!!! I can't wait to see what people think!
  15. I really want to vote for pirates cause they always lose in any ninja vs pirate war... BUT I just can't see a robot defeating a ninja no matter how pirate it was. The ninja would do an aweesome flip, land behind the robot and then deactivate it. SIlly robots. You know they really should have gotten some ninja nuns to help fight in the terminator wars. Lol would have saved a few lives in my opinion haha

    I’m proud !

Ah it is so very refreshing for someone to be completely accepting of thier lifes journies and all that came with it. I'm proud of the good and bad in my life too. It makes us who we are today and for that I will always be thankful.
  17. Hello there! I am so far a published but as of yet unknown author in the science fiction/fantasy genre. My books are available online via equilibrium books, an Australian publisher. I hope to one day be world wide, but that is a long way off as I have only one published work and one on the way. Both are a collection of short stories. Please excuse the shameless self promotion lol. But the reason I joined this forum is not only to be in a writing community but to share ideas about homosexuality in the science fiction/fantasy genre. I am currently working on a collection of stories that are homosexual in nature. I would really apreciate input. Antyhing really. What is missing in a good gay character and how much of homosexuality should be involved in the story? My aim is to promote homosexual themes in science fiction without alienated the very straight. Sorry this post was so long. I only just joined the site so I don't know if there's private messaging, but if there is please feel free to message me with ideas and input. I want this story to be something of legend when I'm well known. Can't wait to get to know some of you and hopefully even make some friends! Kiss Kiss
