Usually, when a story/series goes on this long, I'll lose interest, but I just really like the characters in the Kayden series. The supporting cast, especially. I like the way the POV switched to third person for this chapter - it reads a lot smoother than the multiple first-person POVs.

Oh, cool. When I saw your screen name, I wondered if that was a MewithoutYou reference. I haven't listened to them in a long time, but I used to be really into them. What song is that from? I don't have any tattoos myself, but a friend of mine got "I <3 (my name)" tattooed on his arm as a joke. Heh...I'm always giving him a hard time about that.

Hmm...I haven't heard Chiodos in a loooong time, though I remember listening to them before they got signed, when they were still The Chiodos Bros. They're opening for Dillinger Escape Plan and Coheed & Cambria (one of my guilty pleasures) on the 8th, so I'm going to end up seeing them. I must admit, I do not. Nope, only 5 gigs of games - I tend to keep only one or two PC games installed at any time, plus my 1 gig collection of SNES ROMs (because, after all, SNES = golden age of gaming ). The person below me uses SoulSeek.

Not sure if it counts or not, but on the Plan-It-X Fest 2004 DVD, the Operation: Cliff Clavin performace at the end. After they finish their song and are doing some standard between-songs crowd patter, a bunch of people with masks run out and hit them with pies. They're all covered in whipped cream and custard, spitting and coughing, and the singer/guitarist yells out "Dude...is this stuff vegan!?" I should also mention "Blood Red Summer" and "A Favor House Atlantic" by Coheed and Cambria. Both great videos.

1 - Spiders. 2 - Crowds/open spaces/unfamiliar places. Yep, arachnophobia and agoraphobia. Someone once asked me which one I hated more, spiders or people. I decided that, in the end, I'd rather be locked in a room with a bunch of spiders than in a room with a bunch of people, because you're allowed to kill spiders. If you start killing off people, though...well, society tends to look down on that. And you need more than a newspaper to do it, usually. Plus, the arachnids creep me out intensely, but the humans give me full-blown panic attacks.

(First time Domaholics post) Maybe I'm just way too trusting (I'll admit, I was part of the "give Aaron a chance" crowd for a while), but I'm not seeing any dark intentions in the Monopoly game. I'm guessing that since pretty much all of Seth's conversations with Rory have ended with Rory storming out in an even worse mood than when they started, this is an attempt to anchor him in for a while, as well as act as a way to diffuse tension now and then. It would fit with the way Seth is handling Rory's outbursts at the moment - just changing the subject until he calms down, not letting himself get worked into a shouting match, because no one can beat Rory at shouting matches. Or maybe I'm completely wrong, like I was about Aaron, and Seth insists on playing strip-Monopoly. Then maybe Rory would end up with a grudge against the Parker Brothers, too ("The box said this game was suitable for all ages! You liars!").

Hmm...I listened to the soundtrack to Les Miserables once, and thought it was kind of cool, but that's about the extent of my experience with musicals. Well, other than being forced to sit through a few middle/high school productions, which didn't really catch my interest. Though to be fair, I spent most of those shows playing cards in the back of the room with the other "uncultured louts"...which I still contend was perfectly appropriate for a showing of "Guys and Dolls".
