  1. This definitely belongs in the soap box. Oh well. I've had this discussion so many times in the past, and the only thing I've learned is that the only thing to learn on the topic is the lack of learning to be had. Failing to prove something is not the same as disproving it, so bringing up points like that are useless. The only points I could make on this subject worth anything to anyone involve quantum physics and consciousness. It's really not something I feel like explaining, though. Maybe someone else, probably more informed on the unpredictability of electron clouds, the nature of consciousness in quantum mechanics and the evidence for consciousness being separate from the brain, could do this instead. I am but a lowly former arts student, and unfit to wield such grand tools as science.

    Prison Of Hope

This was very brilliantly written. I think the most telling thing about them being the same person was that, while eluding that they were twins, you said that they had never met before with out explaining how that could be. The deliberate vagueness had me vigilant, but to be honest I wouldn't change anything about this story. Just brilliant. I wish I could give you more than one "+" because this is my favourite story so far on GA.
  3. I'd probably ask that poor girl if she was crying because her stepfather was forcing her to wear an 18th century peasant dress, and offer to buy her a pair of jeans and a tank top if she'd smile.
  4. I find these sorts of things silly, and yet I seem to always find myself reading them. I imagine that one day, after I've accomplished all that I will accomplish in my life, the dementia will have eroded my brain to the point at which silly, nonsensical things such as this fly from my mouth. I hope by this point euthanasia is legal.
  5. Lorazepam. My sister recommends brewing herbal tea and leaving it on your nightstand, not necessarily drinking it I guess. Personally I wouldn't trust her. Edit** Also, I can add to what was previously mentioned by saying that your circadian rhythms will regulate better if you are exposed to more light during the day, so if you can try maybe to do more outdoors or in front of large windows. The actual reason is rather complex, so I'll avoid getting into it, but if you're interested in talking about it a bit you could pm me.
  6. I may or may not be Voltaire. I may or may not be new here. Whatever you decide on this matter is fine by me. Hello
  7. In reference to that second link, low buoyancy objects like human body parts are highly unlikely to stay afloat for years, and the amount of random motion involved in water flow will have what wreckage does stay afloat so greatly dispersed that no one will likely make any connection when small bits of wood do wash up somewhere.
  8. Name her Cat, or perhaps Fish. Those are both impeccable dog names.
